I know there are a lot of you out there who don’t use Facebook, and some of you don’t wish to. I used to feel EXACTLY the same way. Then, I realized how many awesome coupons and completely free products I was missing out on. In fact, a few weeks ago, I added up all of the free items that companies sent me in just 1 week and it was over $50 in completely free products!! How amazing is that??
If you don’t have a Facebook account, create one just to get your free samples, high value coupons and all of the Free Full-Sized Products. You don’t have to have any friends, or even add a picture. Just call it your Freebie Facebook Account. That way, you won’t miss out on any of the awesome Facebook promotions. Today and yesterday, there were 3 FREE Full-Size Products I posted about from Herbal Essences, Aussie and Pantene. Without a facebook account, you can’t get it. That is why a Freebie Facebook Account is something everyone should have!
Once you have created your Freebie Facebook Account, just wait until I tell you about an offer either on the Freebies2Deals Facebook page, or here on the blog. I’ll link you directly to the page you will need to “like” in order to get your freebie.
What if you already have a Facebook account, but it is starting to get too crazy for your liking?? Then, create a second Facebook account just for Facebook Freebies!! I’ve heard a lot of you say that you like doing that. I personally like having my personal facebook account with all of the “liking” because then I don’t miss out on anything. But just do what works best for you!
And, feel free to “like” Freebies2Deals after you create your Freebie Facebook Account. We would love to have you. And, the comments are really helpful and easier to post than on a blog. So I know a lot of people like it just a little more. 🙂

I actually just recently set up a facebook account just for coupons and freebies and I adimately despise facebook. I started a FB account a while back and tried to set up super restrictive privacy settings. Apparently my mom is on FB all day long and noticed within about 90 seconds that i had “blocked” her from my account. (which, to this day, I don’t even know what that means). She wouldn’t speak to me for about 2 weeks and when she did she yelled and screamed and acted terribly imature. I promptly closed my account.
So I picked an alias, registered a fairly anonymous sounding hotmail address and have since gotten coupons and freebies from FB. And ONLY coupons and freebies.
ps. She’s been warned to never utter ‘I wish we had more time together’ as I will remind her of her wasted 14 days fighting over something as ridiculous as Facebook! BTW she’s about 67 years old!

That’s exactly what I do… I have my primary personal facebook account for friends and family and another one with a different name for freebies. I never mix the two.

That is a good idea.. I have been annoyed frequently with the amount of posts from pages I “like” that are making it difficult to see any of my friends posts.

Still skeptical about privacy of personal info 🙂 …
Let’s say I open a FaceBook account and limit the information I share along with using strict privacy settings….
When I enter my true address to have freebies mailed to me, won’t that information now be “out there” and accessable to “others?”
And if I have to click “ALLOW” to have the companies access my “basic information,” does that mean I am also giving permission to view the basic information of all of my friends?
Those things are holding me back from taking part in a lot of offers. I’m not really sure who I’m hiding from :), it just doesn’t feel right to volunteer this kind of info. online.

Hey Carmen, after you accept apps and request your freebie, you can actually remove those apps from your facebook page so they can’t have your info. I did a post on it once. I should probably re-post it for everyone.
Carmen
thanks. I’ll look for that.
I’m just one of those people who feel like once it’s “out there” you can’t take it back :).
And there’s some wishy-washy fine print sometimes on the privacy policies that make me feel like it’s just not worth it. I guess it comes down to picking and choosing companies that I trust!

Carmen, also for my coupon/freebie facebook account I do not have any friends (I only have friends on my personal acct). If you are only using it for these promotions you don’t need to add any friends so you wouldn’t have to worry about them getting any of your friends basic information. 🙂

I’m one of those Facebook haters. I will just do without. I know that is probably a little like shooting myself in the foot over something dumb, but after a really bad gossiping incident FB is not somewhere I ever want to go. I just gives people an excuse to be mean and nasty.

I refuse to socialize on FB. I refused to set up an account for anything. A few month ago I realized all the great freebies and coupons I was missing. It seems that more and more companies are using FB to give away products and coupons. I set up an account specifically for coupons and freebies. I have no personal info in cyberspace and have no friends on this account. I made up a name and new email just for this account. I am so glad, because I am no longer missing out on all the great deals and my privacy and info is not compromised. Great results!!

Thank you for this post!! I am not on FB and don’t want to be, but I always notice all the coupons and freebies I am missing!! I will check it out using an alias! Thanks!

I like carmen am wondering about filling in the addresses on the forms dose it keep it in facebook somwhere? or is it like the other giveaways where it is a closed and secure form?
I did set up an accound just 2 days ago to take a trial stab at this just for the freebies. The full sized shampoos was just to much for me to pass up. I wish i had a better idea of the questions they would ask before i registerd and had thoguth about a name befoer hand (the one i used is prity awfull LOL) but it is all set up and I think i have blocked and set every security thing i could find info on how to. I am hoping that i am inviable like the security tutorial said i would be.
One more question if i only use the account for freebies do i need to unlike and get rid of the app things after i register for things?
Debbie
Awesome website! Nothing better than free stuff. Thanks
