  1. Well, this isn’t necessarily for the far future, but for the near future, I would love to find a good deal on a TV that’s 1080, 120hz or 240hz, around 50 inches. I know that these were on after Thanksgiving, but sadly, our TV just died, so I am now in the market.

For the future, I think it would be cool to get text alerts when deals are really good and one needs to act super-fast on them. I subscribe to emails (but that comes at the end of the day, when sometimes deals are gone) and I “like” the page on facebook, but don’t get notifications. I check the website (more regularaly at Christmas time), but it would be really great to sign up to get a text on my phone or an email if something is a really great deal, so I don’t miss on it. I’ll keep thinking if there’s something else that would be cool to see.

But really, I just want to thank you Melea for putting Freebies2deals together, for sharing the deals you know about, and keeping up on it. Around Christmas time especially, I watch your site religiously, and have saved my family SO much money just from buying some of the things that you’ve posted. Thanks & Happy New Year!

  4. I would love to learn more about price matching / couponing/ and saving money. I see so many people getting great deals and saving so much money, I always think, “I don’t have time for that”, but I really think I need to try a little harder. I probably need a beginner course.

    • I agree. I love that you do the grocery deals and print out the coupons. I feel lost about good deals with coupons and would like to learn the line between a good deal and great through coupons. ANYTHING on coupons/price matching really.

  5. I would love tips to get the coupons clipped faster or easier, clipping takes So much time, and I feel burned out by the time their all clipped I don’t feel like shopping.. Or I don’t clip and want to shop! And the stores give me such hassle some times it doesn’t feel like its all worth it. Plus my house gets super cluttered with newspapers and unclipped coupons. Idk, just frustrating to get organized and Stay Organized, and still have energy/time to shop.

  7. I think that you have done a great job on getting us some great deals. I love especially how I have learned to find deals. Perhaps it would be great if you shared more ideas on how to find good deals on our own.

  8. I might need to stop couponing in the near future, so I would like tips on how to save money without couponing. Also, I would love a great deal on Disney. We are hoping to go this year.
Thanks for all you do for us. I’m glad you are back!

  9. I love, love, love the texting idea. I don’t know if that’s feasible for you – or even possible – but I often miss deals I would have loved because I wasn’t on a computer at the right time.

I don’t know if you’d want to share this information with everyone (or maybe you already have and I missed it!), but I would love a breakdown of what is a good deal on items. For example, I know you always talk about price per roll of toilet paper or price per baby wipe. I’d love one big list of common household items so that I can know if something is a good deal or not when I’m out shopping. I have no idea what a good deal on facial tissue is, for example, so I do my best to match a sale with a coupon but I don’t know if I’m truly getting a good deal. 🙂

    • I agree w/ the toilet paper, tissues & paper towels best deals. It’s so time consuming & confusing to know which is the best deal.

I also agree with Aprie on her Facebook comment. I’m not on Facebook either & also miss out on a lot of freebies & coupons. We had a bad experience w/ Facebook & will not use it ever again.

      • Yes a list of good prices on household items would be great!

  10. I would prefer to see the grocery deals in a separate section of your web site, and as a separate e-mail. I’m on the East Coast and don’t have any of the stores you list. (Even WalMart isn’t close — I go there a couple times a year, usually when I’m away from home but need to pick up a few things.) So I have to scroll, and scroll and scroll some more to get past all of those posts, both in the e-mail and on your site. And I suspect I’m not the only reader in that situation.
Otherwise, I love your tips and deals.
    Thanks!

  12. I need some paper towels right now. What a good price point and brand? That would be better than Costco price? I’m looking for things to add to my subscribe and save list:)

    • You can buy Bounty 8 Ct. Select Varieties Paper Towels $5.99 at Petersons.

  13. I would love price point sheets that I can print out and keep with me to help me better know when something is a good deal or not. I have a small list going in my phone that I refer to, but it’s not as extensive as I would like. Love your blog! I started couponing for my 2013 New Years resolution. My 2014 new years resolution is to learn how to do it even better.

  14. Melea,

You are awesome and do so much….We would like to know when the best time to buy certain things is…often I get coupons and wonder if the best deal is now or in April? I guess what we would like is when do you stock up on certain things? Like TP….or paper towels…since those are in my need box right now….

Or the best time to buy things for your home, office etc.
Also, maybe things for bigger kids, teens….clothes or electronics as they come up….

Thanks you so much for all you do….you must have a patient husband and great kids…

  18. I love your site and I read your posts daily. You have saved my family a TON of money over the years–so THANK YOU! The only thing I wish I could change is to make entering your giveaways more simplistic. I don’t like that I have to enter several different ways or times to get a chance. I don’t have the time, and because I follow your site so regularly through my RSS feeder, I don’t want to duplicate reading the same deals through Facebook, daily emails, etc. Otherwise, everything you post is great!!

    • I also find that it’s not useful when each reader gets more entries for each time they comments. Sometimes I see a deal that has like 30 comments, so I know it is worth looking into. Other times when the giveaways are going on and each post has 100+ comments it takes away the authenticity and is not helpful to other readers.

  20. I love a lot of the ideas others are mentioning. If texts are offered, there should be a way to choose yes or no for those. I love the deals you find. I also would love to hear more about how to match deals from one store to another. Walmart price matches with other stores deals, but I need help tweaking
I would also love to know more about which months/times of the year, are best for buying different items. With categories for grocery, clothing, furniture, electronics, home improvement, hotel deals, entertainment, etc. Thank you for your mail ney saving blog.

  22. Hi,

I do a lot of shopping at Costco and Sam’s club. I would really like to know how that compares to other deals. I know it is for sure cheaper on some items than the grocery store. Sometimes I see you post a deal but I know the same item is cheaper at the Warehouse clubs. What tips do you have on this. I thought of this a lot during Halloween, if buying their big bag was cheaper that the small bags at the grocery store…even on a great deal.

    THANK YOU

  24. Really great site! Agree with Susan, also on the East Coast and don’t see any of the grocery stores you list (we do have a Walmart but quite out of the way) so a separate section for grocery stores – or better yet, add in some East Coast stores ;-), would be appreciated. Thanks again!

  26. I would like to see more deals posted on gifts for teenagers. My kids are now 13 and older, so the toy deals don’t really help us out anymore. But I love your website. Thanks for all your hardwork!!!
(p.s. I also agree with another post that said they would like more giveaways to just be a simple fill out the entry form)

  28. I am looking for the Temptu makeup system. My mother in law ordered it for me as my birthday gift from Groupon and I was SOOO excited. Sad story, they emailed her a few days ago saying they refunded her account with no explanation why they didn’t send it. I am so sad. I was really looking forward to that. I have watched your tutorial and was ready to try it out. Let me know when you see another good deal. Love your website!

  29. I’m wondering how you deal with all the promotional e-mails you get from signing up for samples, coupons, giveaways, etc. I have a separate e-mail account I have all of my “deals” e-mails sent to, but I still feel like I’m bombarded. I don’t want to unsubscribe to most of them, because occasionally the e-mails have a really great offer (like a free meal at a restaurant, a high value coupon, etc.), but I just don’t know how to weed through them all. How do you do it without going crazy and spending a lot of time, but also not missing any of the great deals that hide among the mediocre stuff?

  30. I would love to see prices like Costco and Sams club and how they compare to the deals you post. I often see the deals you post and think to myself, “I think Costco has that cheaper” but I’m not sure. Are there some things that are better to buy in bulk at a Warehouse store? What things are better to use a coupon for at another store.

Thanks for all you do! I love this site and check it multiple times a day! You have helped me be more aware of good prices for certain items and it has really helped my family save money. Thanks for all you do.

  32. I too enjoy your site. Thank you! I often look through the site quickly in the morning and then hope to come back a really check out some of the deals. It would be nice if there was a way to bookmark on your site the deals I want to take a better look at. So I don’t have to filter through it all so many times.

  34. The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice if it’s possible to organize your emails into categories. I love knowing about toilet paper sales, free e-books, etc but I have to wade through all the items geared toward children to find them and I don’t have small children. I also don’t use the grocery store info so, for example, it would be nice to be able to know once I reached that I was at the end of the email.

I love when you us the buy price on items like toilet paper.

Thanks for all your great information!
