  1. Ok so when or why would I use prime pantry instead of subscribe and save?

    • GREAT Question! S&S I would use when an item is a great deal… as long as you remember to unsubscribe after your order ships because the price is different each time it ships out.

Amazon is doing special deals/prices for specific items and putting them in their Prime Pantry section. And you can only get them with the Prime Pantry order–S&S isn’t an option.

So what I am doing and what I recommend everyone else does, is a mixture of both. I’ve seen a lot of groceries that aren’t typically a good deal on S&S but have been amazing over on Prime Pantry. You just have to be smart about what you buy and when. 🙂

  2. Have you noticed your groceries getting smashed at all by heavier items? I once ordered some cheez it type crackers on S&S, but also diapers, oxi clean, etc. and the cracker box was flat as a pancake, not to mention sprinkled with a little oxi clean powder. I now make sure to buy grocery items one month and cleaning/hygiene in another. Wondering if I’m the only one who has experienced this?

    • I haven’t had that issue. But if you do, I would definitely contact Amazon so they can fix it and ship you out new products. You can usually do a Live Chat with their customer service.

  3. My husband does this & he’s familiar w/ all of your tips. However, can we also get free samples (tip #5) or is that only a perk for you since you have your website? I enjoyed your post for I learned some stuff. (Ex. 45 lb box). I remember being so in awe at how big it was. Now, I’ll know to expect it.

    • Hey Leigh,

The free samples are randomly thrown in orders. And you might miss them if you aren’t careful because they usually get stuffed under all of the bubble packaging. So they aren’t just sending them to me. I’m no one special to Amazon. 😉 Hopefully your next order will have free samples too!

  4. I love this! I have not taken the plunge and done it yet but I noticed you can add the cheap add on items to your order if your prime pantry order is over $25 which is easy to do!

  7. I was just wondering if you have a list of what good/better/best price per ounce/item/etc is for comparison? Example, toilet paper, paper towels, cereal, garbage bags, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, etc. Thanks!
