If you haven’t heard, today is #RedNoseDay. It’s a fundraising campaign to help children all over the U.S. who are living in poverty. Things like this are SO important to me! Why? Because one thing I have learned from my past experiences with being in debt, money being super tight and not being sure how you will make ends meet is that there is ALWAYS someone who has it worse than you. Always!
And when I think about little kids who don’t have enough food, warm clothing or even clean water, donating a few bucks makes a world of difference! Did you know that it only costs $1 to feed a child?? That’s it! So today, our family is sporting our Red Noses. (We grabbed these at Walgreens for $1.00 each. $.50 will go to RedNoseDay Donations. If you want to show your support, you can stop by Walgreens, grab one and use the hashtag #RedNose to spread the word. Or use their FREE App to add noses to a picture you already have and share it that way!)
On top of that, I noticed that RedNoseDay had a way for people to join Teams or Groups and donate together! So I quickly created a group for us to all donate. You can head over here to donate. (Minimum donation is $10.) And I hope that a lot of you can help, donate and participate to help us reach our goal of $5,000. I know, I’m crazy! It’s a lot of money. But think of how much good we could do together! And if we hit our goal, I will even sponsor a FUN giveaway for everyone!
**If $10 is just too much for your budget, ask your family members to all donate a few bucks collectively. OR, if you guys want to donate less than $10, you can Paypal me directly at politis@hotmail.com. I will then make a collective donation on all of your behalf and list your names on our Group Page as the actual donators later today.
Also, remember that this donation is a TAX WRITE-OFF! So if you need additional incentive, there you go. 🙂
Tonight you can watch RedNoseDay on NBC where celebrities & musical artists will be performing to help raise more money for the cause. It should be a good show!
Thanks everyone! Hope you can donate today!
