changes to Freebies2Deals

There are a lot of things that are happening on the social media front that are changing the way you guys see Freebies2Deals posts and how to get to them the fastest. So there are two things that we need to adjust and change and I want your input!!

Item #1

Currently, the Freebies2Deals Daily Email goes out around 1pm MST.  There are a lot of deals that pop up after 1pm MST that are only valid for a limited time…. or only valid for that day. But because the email already went out, those deals get put on the next day’s email newsletter and are already expired.  It’s a mess and although I can’t completely fix that issue, I think we can make it better.

I propose that we move the time of the Freebies2Deals Daily Email to go out around 4pm MST or 5pm MST. That way, most of the “time-sensitive” deals will make it into the correct date’s email.  The only downside to this is that the crazy or hot deals from the morning might already be expired by the time you get the email.

Daily emails are meant to help those of you who don’t have time or access to check Freebies2Deals.com directly throughout the day… and as a way to give you all of the deals from the day in one easy-to-read place. So if we do go this direction, I would HIGHLY still recommend that you check Freebies2Deals.com directly in the morning before the email comes out.

An additional option we can add, with the later email mentioned above, is an “Immediate Email”.  That would mean that you could opt to sign up for an email each and every time a deal is posted.  This is for the CRAZY deal hunters and those who never, ever want to miss a deal.  You could get up to 20-30 emails a day for different deals.  But you would know about them first!

Can you guys comment and let me know how you feel about the 4pm MST email time and for those of you who are interested, tell me what you think about Immediate Emails??

Item #2:

I’m contemplating about moving away from posting every deal on Facebook.  Facebook is getting worse and worse…. and because I post so many of the deals on Facebook, they aren’t getting the type of visibility to all of you. Only about 5% of the over 100,000 Facebook fans are actually seeing the deals I post on Facebook!! It’s a lot of work to post the deals there if no one sees them.

So what I am proposing is a trial period where I only post a few deals to Facebook each day.  Or I only post Content or “How-to” posts on Facebook.  We can see how it works and what we think.

I LOVE talking with you guys, engaging and getting to know all of you.  So I still want that option there… but I think with less posting on Facebook, more of you will actually see my posts!  It’s a weird backwards way of thinking but with the algorithm changes on Facebook, it will help you guys out more.

Can you comment and let me know what you think about this?  I will still share Giveaways, Link you to “How-To” posts and if anything “Crazy out of this world” pops up, I will share it there.  But I will be staying away from posting each and every deal on Facebook.

THANKS EVERYONE!  I could just make these changes without you knowing, or without a heads up.  But Freebies2Deals is a community.  And although we aren’t all going to have the same opinion, I do value your thoughts and will take into consideration each and every one of your comments and suggestions to try to make Freebies2Deals the best it can be —and help as many of you as I can! 🙂

  1. I think moving the time back is a good idea. I LOVE LOVE the idea of Immediate Email for HOT deals that those who want to subscribe to can. I ALWAYS got directly to the website to see the deals rather than seeing them on facebook. For me, I feel like I miss a lot by just seeing what’s on facebook. I don’t know how/why but I don’t always see F2D in my newsfeed. I think the website is a better way to make sure I see EVERY deal you post becasue I don’t want to miss out on anything.

  2. I hope you won’t change the blog because I absolutely love it! I honestly get all my deals by checking the blog periodically throughout the day but, I agree it makes more sense to send the daily email later in the day. And I think one email a day is plenty. Thanks for all you do!! You’ve transformed me into a much better shopper. I work full time and only coupon one hour a week and I still save at least 25% off my weekly grocery run by couponing. And I’ve scored so many amazing bargains thanks to you! My hubby has become a huge fan when he sees all I’m saving!

  3. Having the email go out later to include more deals sounds great. I am not a fan of the every deal email but one a day works great for me. And as long as you still post the super great deals on Facebook I think it will be ok to not post every deal I can read about them in my email 🙂

  4. Later email time is great. I would not be a fan of the immediate emails, but others might like that.
I love the FB updates, but I know alot of stuff doesn’t show. Maybe just post the most amazing deals there? I use FB to find / follow your deals alot, especially at Christmas time.

  5. I actually really like being able to see posts on deals on facebook. I typically only get on Freebies 2 Deals once or twice a day, but if I see a deal that applies to me on facebook, I go immediately to your site. I see your posts on facebook, but I can understand if you wouldn’t prefer doing less that way since it takes up time and it’s not reaching anyone anyway. It’s just such a bummer that facebook is always changing what you can see.

  6. I like the idea of pushing the email back to later in the day. And though getting an email for every deal might be good for some people, I would actually hate getting that many emails. I try to check the blog through out the day. Sometimes I do forget to check and seeing one of your posts on facebook does serve as a reminder for me to come check the blog. So, while I am completely fine with you not posting every deal on facebook, I would like to see a few posts throughout the day to help me remember to check the blog. 🙂 Thanks for all you do! You are amazing!

  7. First of all, thanks for all you do! I love that you do all the work so I don’t have to 🙂
I have found that the best way for me to keep up with all the deals is just to check the blog often. I never read the e-mail and I FB isn’t reliable anymore. So as long as you don’t change the blog I’m golden! Thanks again!

  8. If they go to your Facebook page and hover over your like button then they can click “get notifications”. Then each time you post it will show up. That is how I get all your awesome deals . I would love to keep Facebook going for that reason.

  9. I just delete the emails when I get them because I check freebies2deals.com several times a day. I wouldn’t like getting more than one email per day if possible. As for facebook, I don’t see most of the deals you post on there and think that just checking your website is easier. Any changes you make on facebook would be fine with me. Thanks for all you do.

  10. I actually like the posts on facebook it is easier for me to check than the website and a later time for the email is ok by me.

  11. I think moving the time back is a great idea and any changes you make on Facebook is fine with me as I check the website for all the deals. I also see all of the deals on Google + anyway so I don’t need to see them on Facebook.

  12. I think that making the email later (4pm) is a great idea. Also having an option to get all emails (if one wants them is great too). As for Facebook, I don’t see a need to post all of the deals on there. Keep up the great work!

  13. I like Facebook for the time sensitive stuff. I see fb more than I do the blog. So maybe you could just post those on there. Also, I would love it if the app worked! It never updates correctly for me. Does anybody know how I could fix that problem?

    Reply
    • Are you using the iPhone or Android version??

      Reply
      • I agree with Linsey, I check FB much more often than the actual blog. Maybe only post the time sensitive or the “screaming” deals on FB.. I also haven’t used the app much because of the update issue. I use an iPhone and it doesn’t update like it’s supposed to, I don’t think.

        Reply
    • I have the same problem on my iphone. The app always shows deals from the last time I was on, which could have been 2 months ago. I found that if you go into a deal and then go back it sometimes refreshes, but not worth worrying about. I just go to the website.

      Reply
      • With iPhone, after you open it, you have to pull down on the page to “Refresh” it. Then it will update the most recent posts for you. Does that work for you?

        Reply
        • It refreshes the top deal, like right now I just did it and it say “Oneida Sitewide Tent Sale, but then the next two deals are Eagles Tour and Frozen themed Deals.

          Reply
          • Yes! That’s what it does to me too! I’m using the iPhone version.

          • I have the same problem with the app, I also have an iphone

  14. I don’t get your deals through email or Facebook. So I really could care less. I get deals as you post them through your RSS feed. I use Feedly to stay up to date. I would trash Facebook (don’t rely on another company to do your advertising) and encourage your customers to start reading through an RSS reader or visit the site regularly. They won’t miss the deals this way!

    Reply
  15. I agree with many users that the time sensitive posts could continue (though not a necessity even at that) on facebook. But i check your web page and app for all the actual updates. As they are more reliable and i know for sure i won’t miss a posted deal if i check there. Facebook is more of an advertisement/fan page for the website and app, not necessarily for the deal posting. And thats my take on most business facebook pages.

  16. I hate the facebook posts personally I check the website constantly so that’s all I need. I also never use the email.

  17. You have a FB?!?! Lol

I agree with the earlier post, the App NEVER loads right on iPhone, I gave up on it. I just stick with the blog and check it a few times a day.

    Reply
    • You have to manually update the iPhone app each time you open it by swiping your finger down. Try that, and tell me if that works!

      Reply
      • Melea, I do manually refresh it every time I open it up, but it still doesn’t work right. Some of the posts will update, but most do not.

        Reply
        • So strange. Can you try uninstalling it and putting it back on? I use it on my iphone all of the time and have never had issues. So I’m not sure why I haven’t??

  18. I’m basically with Jen. I actually dislike the Facebook/Email options and always scroll right past them since I check the website. I don’t need to see it two/three times. I would prefer not being part of Facebook or Email but do it so I can enter things. Too blunt? Anyway, that’s my opinion.

  19. I don’t use the Facebook posts but rather check the website periodically throughout the day. The emails I don’t usually see until the end of the day so changing the time to help others wouldn’t be a problem for me. Keep up the good work – I love the website.

  20. I prefer the notifications on fb, I got those instantly that you post it. Thanks!! 🙂

  21. thanks for all the great deals you’ve found for me over the years, i love your site and recommend it to EVERYONE! i check your website, on my phone constantly throughout the day, so the facebook and email updates don’t affect me much… just thought i’d give you an idea of how many are using each form you have going 🙂

  22. Sorry I didn’t mean to sound negative, I just found the app would mix up posts from last week and this week and wouldn’t always refresh. It just drove me crazy and I kept thinking you weren’t posting and slacking off 😉

    Reply
    • Mine does the same thing. I finally realized that when I actually “look” at the top current one and then go back to the post that it then lists just the current ones, not a mix of the old and new. However when I do that it tells me “Get Entiry failed” and I have to click “Ok” and then it does the same thing and after I click “ok” the second time it finally goes to that posting. A big hassle, but helps in a pinch.

  23. I think that changing the email time would be fine. I get the emails but never read them because I have been checking the blog all day. 🙂 Also, I don’t do the facebook thing, so that doesn’t matter to me at all. It seems like the easiest thing to do is check your blog throughout the day. If you have access to facebook or email, don’t you have access to the blog? Makes more sense to me. Then you can see everything, and right as it’s posted. Thanks for all you do!

  24. ITEM #1 While it doesn’t effect me, I have an idea. (Mind you, I haven’t read thru the mountain of replies.) I would opt for the “Immediate Email” but, with a twist. Could you made a list of categories (boxes to check) & the person would only receive those types of emails? That would surely limit the # of emails they’d receive. However, that would be contingent on how many boxes they checked. Plus, there’d need to be an update page in case they changed their option choices.

ITEM #2 also doesn’t effect me as I’m not on Facebook. My only link to you is Freebies2Deals.com. I just had an idea. Instead of posting deals on Facebook, just list them only by their name. (Just cut & paste them from your webpage.) Then, if someone is interested, they could look on your website deal. That way, you’re advertising the deal but, hopefully it won’t take you as much time.

Hope these suggestions help & thanks for letting me feel like I live in Utah & not Oklahoma. : )

  25. I think those changes are great! I only check the website as I have it bookmarked on my smart phone. If people are able to check Facebook they may be just as able to check the blog/website.

  26. Item #1 I would prefer it later. Then I can look after work, which is better for me than during working hours.

Item #2 I don’t check facebook very often. I check the website. I would only post hot buys on fb along with suggestions/tips.

  28. I check your website multiple times a day on my phone. It is so easy. I hardly ever open the emails bc I’ve already seen the posts and will click on fb posts on occasion. I think maybe put the crazy good deals on fb, but leave the non time sensitive ones off? I’m fine with anything!! Thank you for your hard work!

  29. I gave up looking at your deals on Facebook a long time ago. But I would probably “Like” your page again if you only posted the things you mentioned above…the how-to videos or info about couponing/deals.

    • Also, I use an app called Bloglovin to check your website, so I see all the deals you post directly anyway. 🙂 By the way, thank you for all the work you put into this!!

  30. I only receive your emails so I can check that box when I enter your giveaways. I look at your blog multiple times a day, and that is how I see things in time. I also do not look on Facebook for deals. Hope that helps you know what people do.

  31. I check freebies2deals.com a few times a day. I wouldn’t mind the email later in the day. I usually only refer to the email as reminder for certain deals I didn’t grab earlier in the day. I agree about facebook, I rarely see the posts in my feed. Thanks for all the awesomeness that freebies2deals is!

  32. I like the idea of posting time sensitive items on facebook. I do see many of your posts, and am on faecbook most of the time, so I would be more likely to catch them there, then on here. But I understand where it seems like a waste of time if not everyone can see them.

I’m good with the email time changing. I personally don’t use the email listing because I check the blog throughout the day, so it’s usually an automatic delete for me (Sorry, just being honest).

I was personally wondering if it is possible to have a separate section for your weekly best deal updates for grocery stores. I’m not local to you, so many of the stores you post aren’t even local to me (I realize I’m in the minority here.). I end up scrolling through most of your posts, and of course, the grocery store deals are incredibly long posts. I didn’t know if it was possible to change your format, or not, but that is probably my only complaint about your blog. Otherwise, love it and thanks for your hard work!

  37. Honestly, I think that you should do what you need to do. But also, I think that a later email is no big deal at all! Especially if you are wanting to start an immediate email with deals. If people are upset by a later email, all they have to do is check your site earlier!! Straying away from facebook wouldn’t be that big of a deal either..As you said, only a small percentage of us are seeing your posts anyways so why keep hassling with them? If we are truly wanting to see all of your posts, we should be directly visiting the site anyways 🙂
Love F2D! Wouldn’t stop reading for anything! Thanks for everything you do for us. Ultimately, do what works best for you and we will follow!

  46. PLEASE don’t change the email time! Facebook is indeed crap, so email is how I keep up with your deals. But I live in GA. If you send the email at 4pm MST, it will be too late here. I’ll be in the middle of dinner and the bed-time mess at my house. For the sake of your Eastern and Southern fans, please don’t send out the email later!

    Reply
  47. For me, one email is great, and I don’t mind moving it back in the day. I don’t think I’d want to get an email every time there’s a great deal, but if there’s a way that you could do a daily email for those who want it that way and instant emails for those who want that, that’d be cool…although more work for you. As for FB…I don’t have your messages pop up very often; I have to go to your page or the blog anyway, so I like the idea of changing how FB is done, whether that means posting less or something else. I know of a similar type site that decided to change their FB page to an online group because they felt like they reached more people that way, now that FB is making it harder to reach subscribers. I don’t know all the logic behind that or how FB figures out what to display, but if you started a group on FB, I’d join that.

    Reply
  48. I’d say move the email time to 4 or 5pm. However, unless it’s a real pain for you, I’d keep posting deals on Facebook. Sometimes that’s how I find out about deals right away, so that would be a big loss for me.

  49. Part of the fun of your blog is looking periodically each day to see what’s new and exciting and I think less FB posts are a good idea. I like when it’s an AMAZING deal to see it on FB and email, other than that, I just browse usually once a day on the blog to see what’s new. I don’t know how everyone feels, but the Walmart double coupon deals seem to take up a lot of time to scroll through and unless you live in that area, doesn’t interest me. Maybe location specific deals could be sent via email?

  50. I think emailing later in the day would be just fine. 20-30 emails would be too much for me personally. I think knowing that we could go directly to the blog to see morning emails is sufficient. I never see anything you post on FB…so posting less would be great! Thanks for all you do! I look forward to my daily emails!

  53. I like the idea of the later email time. Makes a lot of sense to me! I also like the idea of an “every deal email”, but not sure if I’m that crazy. 😉 I do check your website periodically throughout the day, so I feel like I can get most of the deals, but there are some I haven’t gotten because I wasn’t on at the exact right time. I don’t use Facebook to check the deals, so no input there.

  54. Teach your users how to use an RSS feed like Feedly. I never check your FB posts anymore because it sometimes takes hours for them to pop up on my newsfeed. RSS feeds are AWESOME! 58. I would love the Immediate Update email. I am not sure I like the idea of the email going out later. It seems like lots of the deals are already gone when I receive the email between 2:30 and 3:00 pm. If it goes out later at 4:00 pm then I might not get it until 5:30 or 6:00 pm and I will be busy with other things at home and won’t see it. I like it now because I get it at work about the time for my afternoon break and I can take the time to read it. Maybe 2 emails a day (early morning and keep the 1:00 time) can be done to catch those later deals. Thanks for listening.

  63. Hi –

This is a bit off topic, but may I ask if you personally order from discountmags.com – a source I believe you frequently post about? After ordering two subscriptions from them two months ago and seeing that my order information isn’t in the magazine’s databases, I’m thinking they are a scam. Anybody have experience with them? Thanks!

  71. It sounds like a lot of people like the idea of the email going out later in the day. For me (a SAHM), it doesn’t work so well. I like it in the afternoon because I can check my email during naptime. By 4pm, I am working on homework, dinner, and getting kids to bed. I often don’t get on the computer again until the next day. (Today just happens to be a rare exception). I don’t know how all of your readers can remember to check the blog every day. I wish I could, then it wouldn’t matter but I rely on the email in the afternoon. And to be honest, it’s not very often that I miss a deal because it was time sensitive and emailed the next day. I do like the idea of one reader to have categories to choose from so I’m not getting every single deal in an email. There are just too many in a day to get an email every time. Another option would be to send out the email twice a day with all the new blog posts. So, that’s my opinion. As for facebook, I loved seeing the awesome deals but I never see them anymore. And I certainly don’t need notifications (I don’t like anything that takes me away from my kids). Wow, that was long! Thanks for all you do!

  72. I check your blog on a regular basis throughout the day so whatever time the emails come out is fine with me! As for the Facebook posts, I agree that posting all of them can be a little crazy but sometimes that’s the only way I see a hot deal before it’s too late. I’m sure you can use your best judgement as to what justifies a hot deal. Thanks so much for all the work you and your team put into this site! You have no idea how much I appreciate it!!!!

  73. I am totally fine with simplifying the Facebook page. Whatever makes your life easier is great with me because I’m sure it is a lot of work putting together daily deals.
My only concern is that if you move the daily emails back, people on the east coast(like myself) will get them around 6 or 7pm. That’s a little late in the day to run and try an catch the store before it closes or plan around an awesome deal. Just a thought! I’m not sure if you even have a big east coast population in your followers, but I thought it was worth posing the thought. With that said, I’m flexible and will still be a supporter no matter what you choose.

    • I agree with that – as I’m on the East Coast as well. That’s why I like the current timing of the daily email. But I too would still be a supporter no matter what is decided! 🙂

  74. I think pushing the e mail time later is fine! I never use facebook, so I can’t really comment on that, but i do check the site whenever I can during the day to see if any new deals have popped up:)

  75. I am a fan on facebook and I am an email subscriber, but I don’t use either of them. I am able to check your site frequently throughout the day. So, any changes you make with email or facebook won’t matter to me! Thank you so much for including your readers when making changes!

  76. I check the blog numerous times a day. That is the easiest way for me but probably isn’t for everyone. I also don’t pay alot of attention to facebook posts because I do check the blog. I love the blog and that is what works best for me I just hate it if I miss out on a good deal because you have sooooooo many. I have gotten so many fabulous deals thru this blog. Thanks so much for all you do,

  77. This is excellent news and I applaud you for taking the steps to “move away” from FB and their conglomerate approach – consumers should have a choice as to whether they want to login and “like” a product to obtain a freebie – I have long followed your site – have used coupons and love to find deals – not only for the saving – it has become a bit of a hobby (my husband might say an obsession) but hey there are worse things one could be doing –
Thank you for facing down Mr. Zuckenburg and keeping your site simple and fun – I look forward to receiving all your emails and you work very hard at finding us all amazing deals and samples –
Pinterest is “what it is” and I remember getting an “invitation” to join their exclusive site years ago – who knew this startup in Palo Alto would take off and also rule the internet – I have no problem with Pinterest except it overwhelms me at times with everything loading so fast and kinda right in my face sort of thing – I also do not feel I should “have” to join Pinterest to be able to access a craft site or blog – I suspose that is the way it is

  78. Item #1: I love the idea of the Immediate Email as an option. I don’t know that I would use it, but I think it would be great to offer it. However, I like the email sent at the time that it is now – I wouldn’t like it later – right now it comes at a time in the day when I get very few other emails, so I’m really able to focus on your email. No matter what time you send it, time sensitive deals are going to be missed. The way it is now – you miss the evening ones. But if you change it (as you said), the ones from the morning may be missed.

Item #2: I thought you had already moved away from posting as much to Facebook a while ago? Regardless, I think just seeing a few posts from you a day is fine on Facebook – it reminds me to go check your blog. If you took it away completely, I’m not sure I’d remember to check the blog daily – because when I see your post on Facebook, I click the link and then scroll through all the other posts from earlier that day.

  79. I vote for the later in the day email. I check it later now anyway, and it’s an easy one stop.

  80. First I want to thank you for all the time you take to hunt and post the deals you do; plus the other information you give us.

I have quit Facebook as several members of my family having found it too much of a mess to deal with.

The later day deliver would work fine for me. I’m not sure the through out the day delivery would be needed.

  81. This may have already been posted, but could you send two emails a day. One early and one later in the day.

  82. The 4pm email would be ok…I wouldn’t sign up for the immediate emails ( I already receive so many emails each day). I don’t really check Facebook so I wouldn’t mind you not posting as much. Thanks 🙂

  84. I am totally fine w/ moving the time back to 4 pm. I don’t have time to look all day for every deal so that should be optional if you want to do it. I am all for simplifying life. If it helps you save time and energy not to load anything on facebook and we can still get info on your wonderful website then it’s a win for everyone. Thank you for giving us a heads up.

  85. Yes move the email to 4 PM! I think it’s good if you don’t post every deal on Facebook. Just make sure the giveaways get on there. 🙂

  86. I never use the Facebook. I come here several times a day directly to the web site. 🙂 I only share deals through FB.

  87. I am fine moving the email time. If I am checking my email for deals it is usually at the end of the day after kids are in bed any way and I’m just browsing to see what I might have missed in a chaotic day. I would not not like to flood my inbox with more emails, that wouldn’t help me. If I need a hot deal I am watching the web page. I regularly check the website here if I am looking or needing to watch for a hot deal. I also use my app a lot on my phone (at the grocery store, or to check for hot deals). I love getting the facebook posts, and I will also regularly just go right to your page if I am needing a fast update on deals. But if this is too much I can use the app.

  88. Item 1: yeah, good idea.
Item 2: I dunno, I still see some good Facebook posts. And I took the app off my iPhone, too. Whenever I opened it, it showed posts from the last time I opened it which could have been days prior. I could sometimes get it to update, but it always took a while, and was never automatic.

  89. Moving the daily email to later in the day makes total sense. Not a fan of the thought of multiple deal emails. I don’t use the facebook FB2Deals enough to have an opinion.
    Thanks for what you do!

  90. I love the facebook posts. I have bought several things because I have seen it on my feed. I don’t sit on the freebies2deals blog all day so I like that option. Later emails are fine with me too.

  91. I rarely see the facebook posts, so less on there is fine with me. I usually just check here, or the app. Later email sounds good to me too. Thanks for all your work!

  92. I would appreciate more posts via Instagram. Even a “screen shot” of certain deals that need to be jumped on would be nice! Instagram is not so jumbled with ads and confusion (yet) so a higher percentage of users would probably see your posts. Just a suggestion. 🙂

  93. Thank you for all your hard work. I really enjoy receiving the email from you. Maybe a possibility would be to only do a twice a day posting. Once around 12 noon for the morning deals and then around 5 pm for the afternoon deals. Regarding Facebook, I do not use it so is a mute posting for me. Again, thanks!

  94. I’m for moving the email to a later time. I also think you should bag posting in Facebook also. The reason why is everyone has a email account and not a Facebook account. It will save you time and everyone else from having to look all over for the deals you post. Thanks for all you do!

  95. I’m fine with moving the email to a later time.
No, I wouldn’t sign up for the additional emails.
Yes, I agree with limiting the Facebook postings. They never seem to show up on my timeline anyway, and I prefer to go to the blog as it is.
    Thanks!!

  96. I don’t do Facebook, get my emails at work and then go home to shop the deals I want, so wouldn’t want more than one or two emails per day. The later time for emails works great for me. I check the website occassionally when looking for deals for a specific item or retail deal. Thanks for all you do – you’re a great help with helping us save money & time!

  100. I don’t read your email, but go to your blog each day. However, I live in Tennessee in the EST, so if you send the email at 5pm I would get it at 8pm and that really wouldn’t help. If you sent out an email with posts that are extremely time sensitive then I would be able to check your site then. All I would need is an email with basic info in the subject line. I check my email frequently during the day because of my business, and I don’t do Facebook. Thanks for your efforts!

  101. I think the idea of Immediate Emails is great!! There are a lot of times that I miss the time window for a specific deal that I would have loved to take advantage of, but if I got an email as soon as you posted the info for it, I wouldn’t miss out! Also, we appreciate all of the work that you do on Facebook, but I think that it all just gets lost in all of the content on there. My News Feed is a clogged mess, and I don’t think I’ve ever learned about a new deal from your Facebook page – I just read your emails or check the blog page.

  102. Sending out the email later is a great idea! I am an avid deal watcher , I am on your site often throughout the day, so I don’t think I would need the immediate emails. I never look at deals on facebook because it is too hit and miss, so I think its a great idea for you to cut back there, since it takes your extra time.
    Thanks!

  104. I think scaling back FB is a good idea. If there are not that many deals that come late in the afternoon, I suggest sticking to the same daily email time & sending out a 2nd “Hot Deal” email in the afternoon if something is that exceptional….or a simple 2nd email saying check Freebies2 Website for Today’s hot deal update.

  105. Never check Facebook. Moving the time sounds good to me.

  106. I think sending the blog post out later is a good idea. I can just go to the Freebies2Deals website in the AM. And as far as FB goes, I get notifications about twice a week, and seldom use FB to track deals. If I do I wind up with all those ads for things I care nothing about from stores etc. So whatever makes it easier for you to get those great deals and freebies out to us is just fine with me.
