SaveMore: Dispute the Charges on Your CC!

If you purchased the Barnes and Noble Gift Card deal from Save More, like I did, you will probably want to go ahead and dispute the charges on your CC and get your money back.

I know we have had a lot of you complaining that you never got your card.. and only a random few who did.  So, since they don’t seem to be answering emails or phone calls to give us any answers, it is probably time to contact your CC company and dispute the charges so you can get your money back.  If you have had a bad experience with SaveMore, I would also report them to the Better Business Bureau at BBB.org. That should help others from posting about them.

I want you all to know that I try my absolute hardest to not post any deals from companies that aren’t legit. I thought we would be ok with deals from them since other deals I have personally purchased from them have come to me without a problem or issue.  However, sometimes companies fall apart or can’t keep up with demand.  And unfortunately, I believe that is what happening here.  Their higher ups wouldn’t even respond to my personal emails.  So, until things change, I won’t be posting any more deals from SaveMore. And I wouldn’t recommend purchasing any deals from them again until issues are fixed and compensated for.

  1. Thanks for the heads up – I purchased a Barnes and Noble card from them the first week of December for a Christmas gift. It didn’t ship until the 12th of December (which I was expecting) but I didn’t get the card until days after Christmas. (booo, no gift) I did get it, but even after that experience, I wouldn’t purchase from them again.

  2. i never got the one that was $25 target card and $100 restaurant.com giftcard. it was $26. do you know anything about that? (sadly i don;t even remember the company)

  3. Thank you for the reminder! I haven’t received my Barnes and Noble or the $12 Papa John’s giftcard!

    I am going email them and if I don’t hear anything I will call AMEX.

  4. Its not just the gift cards you mentioned… in November i purchased a Subway gift card from them and never received it. No one answers the phone, nor returns emails.

    • I got the same subway card….received it a month and a half later…after calling and complaining. Also got the Barnes and noble card…received that a month later after emailing them and getting no responce…finally I went to their Facebook page and wrote an honest review on their company…”it stinks”. They did respond to that with an apology and offering a refund. I said, ” no, I just want my gift card!” it came not too long after that..

  5. thank you! i’ve been wondering why I’ve never gotten my B&N gift card. Glad to know I wasn’t alone- will definitely be disputing the charges and reporting them to BBB

  8. I’ve been trying to get the code for my Papa Johns voucher from them also & the link doesn’t work. Just left a message @ customer service…looks like I probably won’t get a call back from everyone else’s experiences!

  9. I paid with a debit card. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them too. Do you know if I can dispute the charges on a debit card? I am for sure going to complain about this to the BBB. They are a joke.

    • You can dispute with debit card that has a visa or MasterCard logo. Just call your bank or credit union.

  10. I think they are a complete scam! We bought the $12 Papa Johns giftcard back in decemeber and tried to redeem it at papa johns since there wasn’t any instructions on the actual “voucher”. Well come to find out, Papa Johns said that a company copied and pasted their logo and were selling these so called “gift cards.” I tried contacting savemore about the issue, and all i get is a answering machine. I’m also having the same issue with a “touch screen gloves” that the company hasn’t sent me in over 8 weeks.

  11. I never got my Papa John’s gift card either. Every time I call their customer service line, I can never get through. They did respond to one email, saying I would be receiving something shortly to let me know when it was available. After not hearing anything for a couple of weeks, I emailed them again and they didn’t respond. I definitely will not be using them again!!

  12. I ordered the subway and the B&N gift cards. I guess I was one of the lucky few. I received both cards with no problems. But I don’t think I will use them again with all the problems everyone else is having.

  13. I bought the B&N gift card as well and left a couple of messages without them calling me back. I wrote an email last week and we wrote back and fourth about 4 times. They said they are sorry and are sending the card now. I ask if I can just have a voucher number instead and use it online. They said that is not possible they have to mail the cards. If it doesn’t come within another week, I am going to complain at the BBB as well.

  14. Julie – Yes, you can dispute charges on your debit card. You need to go to a branch of your bank and dispute them there. You will have to file an affidivat (someone stole my debit card number and charged over $2000) but it should be an easy process. I got all my money back and the my bank was great about it.   16. Just an fyi, I emailed them last week in regards to my Barnes & Noble giftcard and I have received 2 replies from them. The person I have been talking to is Michael Tijerina at mtijerina@savemore.com. It might be worth a try to email him

  17. I ordered one too. Luckily I did receive it, but after awhile. I had called before I got it and left a message with their customer service and was never responded too……sorry to those that didn’t get it ðŸ™

  19. I also purchased the B&N gift card on 12/2. I have never recieved it and they don not respond to my phone messages. grrrrr! Thank you for the post I will go to my credit union as I also used my debit card and contact the BBB!

  22. I bought the CVS card and after weeks of trying to redeem it online, I finally emailed them. I did get a response saying they’d refund my money in the next 5 business days. Its been a couple of weeks since then and still no refund! I know its only $5 but its so aggrivating!!

  23. I had a problem with the waterbottles and called and called and left messages numerous times with no results. So I googled them to see if anyone else had problems and I found this email to Shane Hanna at shanna@samemore.com. I told him it had been 3 months and I hadn’t recieved my shipment and that I expected an immediate response and an immediate refund… and he did. It was amazing. The money was back in my account in 2 days. I won’t do buisness with them again though. Too much stress for me. But try that email. I had good results with it. Funny thing though… a few days after the refund, my shipment showed up.

  24. I must be one of the few lucky ones. I got my Barnes & Noble card, but like the few who did get, it came after Christmas. Sorry for everyone else who are having so many problems, because of that I will not be using this company again either.

  25. I too have been trying to get my papa john’s gift card and they don’t answer the phone or return phone calls. Thanks for the info. Now I know I have to go through the credit card company to get my money back. What a bunch of crooks!!!

I too never received my B&N gift card that I ordered the first week in December yesterday I went to their website and logged in to my account and next to your name click on arrow then select My Deals there you can see your gift card purchase. I then had to select Gift and enter my name and address to send it to and it said it will Now be mailed in received in 1 -2 weeks..!!! What a pain. Give it a try

  28. I ordered the CVS card from them back in the first part of November. I was sent a faulty link to print out the coupon code. I have emailed the company with no response and this was purchased almost 3 months ago! I am really disappointed because I love CVS and I was really looking forward to using that card to score some Black Friday and Christmas deals. =(

  29. I ordered the Auto Zone $25.00 gift card and never received it. I made numerous phone calls and sent e-mails re problem. They never answered their phones .I would get put on hold and then get a message that ” The operator is no longer available” . E-mails went unanswered. I thought I was the only one with this problem.

  30. Have you tried contacting them at their Linkedin pages (they have the President listed and some managers)?

  31. Gosh this company is fustrating. I ended up filing a charge discrpency with my bank and my bank gave me the money back for now. I guess the bank goes after them now.

  32. I didn’t order the gift cards but I did order 2 other products and completely regretted both of my purchases. The items were junk. Luckily it was mostly credits used and little OOP.

  34. I disputed the charges with my bank and the bank was great! Got my money back. Won’t be ordering from Savemore anymore.
