Our Secret Santa 2011 Video is finally put together!! YAY! And because of all of you, we donated a ridiculous amount of toys to help out all of the kids at Primary Children’s Cancer Center. And, in the video, you will see another SECRET SURPRISE donation we were able to do as well!
If you haven’t been to their cancer treatment center, they have little “pods” where 8 kids can come at a time to get treatment. There isn’t much room and each pod is separated by a hanging curtain. So,you can see how these kids could really use some cheering up coming here once a week or more! Your donations really meant a lot!
Privacy laws prohibited us from actually video-taping inside Primary Children’s and the kids. But they sent us this adorable “Thank You” Card signed by a bunch of the kids and families that have been getting cancer treatment over the past few days and have seen all that we donated! I tried to make the pic as large as I could at the top of this post so you can read it!

As a parent who has had a child with cancer up at Primary’s during Christmas, I just wanted to express my sincere thank you to everyone for all the donations and the love they gave these children. I know from experience how hard it is at Christmas with a child who has cancer and the number of toys and games that were donated is so cool. I just had to write and thank you all for your service project this year. My daughter, Cami was diagnosed with leukemia last year and the gift she got up at Primary’s just brightened her day! That day we had to go get chemo and she had to be put to sleep for a spinal tap and to get chemo injected in her spine. These days are very difficult and hard for her, but getting a gift sure helps make it easier on her. Thank you so much for working so hard to help all our little cancer friends. It truly means the world!

My 5 year old daughter Avery has Leukemia and gets treated at Primary Children’s. How exciting it was to see her name on that card. I had no idea when she signed it, it would show up here. We got a sack of gifts…crayons,coloring book, reading book, scarve,socks,princess toys. We were so dreading driving 4 hours to the hospital for Chemo just 3 days before Christmas! So a big Thanks for brightening her day. These kids go through so much. How amazing for those kids that have to actually stay a the hospital for Christmas to have such awesome gifts. I finally got a moment to watch the video. SO FUN!!! I have a disabled and medically fragile child myself, and we spend much time at PCMC. Everything that is donated to PCMC is very much appreciated. The toys, entertainment, gifts, and prizes are all wonderful distractions from the “yuckiness” of the day. Even kids who have plenty at home are lifted up by something new in the hospital.
And I, like many others here, am really touched that you would use so many credits that you have earned with your own hard work. It was so fun to know that we all were able to pitch in to make a big difference in our own small way! Thank you!
