Not to stress you out, but Christmas is only a little over a week away. BUT, because Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, that means that presents need to be delivered to you by Friday, since most shipping carriers don’t deliver on Saturday. So that cuts down on the amount of shipping time we normally have to get our presents before Christmas.
With that said, if you still aren’t done with your shopping, you might want to price compare on Amazon and get your free 2-day shipping. As long as your items are sold and shipped by Amazon, your orders will get to you before Friday- if you purchase over the weekend.
To get your free 2-day shipping, you have to sign up for Amazon Prime. You can get Amazon Prime if you previously signed up for Amazon Mom, by doing a 1 Month Free Trial and cancelling with no obligation before your month is up or by signing up for the Amazon Student Program.
Some people also opt to sign up for one-year of Amazon prime for $79. It is a hefty price.. BUT, you can share it with 4 other people. After you get signed up, your account settings will let you send invitations for other people to share the free prime shipping too. So, divided by 4 people ends up being $19.75 per person. The whole year, you will get free 2-day shipping. So it will help with this year’s Christmas, birthdays and next year’s christmas.
If you see another store with a particular item you want, head over to Amazon, search for it and see what the price difference is. You just never know what kind of deal you will find!
There will be a few stores that will have in-store deals like Target’s $10 Gift Card with $75 purchase. But unless you like dealing with the last-minute crowds of people, you might want to stick with online shipping.
Please keep watching the Lightning Deals on Amazon, they come and go so fast.. but the discounts are incredible! If you want to know more about how Lightning Deals work, or want direct links to the different categories, read my previous post here.
We will only have a couple of days early next week to try to finish our shopping. So, hopefully everyone can find a great deal on what they are looking for this weekend!!

Just FYI… it says you can share Prime with 4 people in the same household.. I would hate for you to encourage people to do something against the rules so we lose the 4 shares.

Prime members under a free trial or paid subscription can share their shipping benefits with up to 4 additional family members living in the same household, or up to 4 coworkers to shop for the related account.
