This past year has been insane for me. And I can imagine that it has for all of you as well!
Saving money was something that I was never really good at. It was only after I had my first baby in July 2009, that I realized the way we spent our money really had to change. For the first time, I wasn’t working and didn’t want to have to work. I really wanted to be the one taking care of my baby during the day.
I started using coupons, I mean really using them, in August 2009. Since that time, I have learned so much about what works and what doesn’t. I know it hasn’t been long. But I am living proof that everyone can do it. And, within just a few months, you really can know how it all works and how to use coupons the right way! So if you are new, don’t worry! You too will be a Coupon Pro soon. It is my personal goal to make sure that I teach all of you how to use them and save a lot of money this next year!
October 19, 2009, I actually decided to start posting the deals I found on my personal blog. It was just something fun to do to help my friends out. And then the word got out! It spread like wildfire and now it has turned into a legitimate website! I never thought in a million years that people would come to my website everyday to hear what I had to say and take my advice on saving money! What an amazing 2 months it has been.
It is completely insane that in just a little over 2 months, I now have over 3,400 people that visit my site everyday. Can I just say WOW! Thank you so much to all of you who have told your friends and family members about the site. It means a lot to me so that many of you visit the site and are so supportive in this little endeavor of mine. I really do have the best readers! You guys are awesome and really make me so happy during my day. And I get so excited when I find an amazing deal at a store and think ” I’ve got to hurry and get home and post this!”
I hope all of you have enjoyed this little 2 month run of mine so far. I will be continuing to grow this site this next year and hope all of you can continue to spread the word. I am still learning, but I hope that I have helped you all in some way. I wish us all the Best 2010 that we can possibly have… especially with saving money!

Hi Melea – do you ever come across deals on printer cartridges? Since printing all these coupons I am running out of ink:)

That is such a good question. In a word, "no". The best way to get any type of deals is to watch the Office Max, Office Depot and Staples ads. Sometimes they will have Buy 1 Get 1 50% off. But printer cartridges like HP are usually not included. You can try to re-fill your cartridges. That is a lot cheaper. But, in my experience, they don't work very well.If I ever find an ink deal, I will for sure post it!Melea

I would recommend only printing in Black and White ink. That saves me a lot of money, instead of printing in all color. Make sure it is black and White and NOT grayscale. Or, the coupons won't scan.Melea

I love your site, I've been following it for a few weeks. I also had my first baby in July. The reason why I really like it is because you post things I would actually look for. Our goal this year is to get a GOOD food storage and our second car paid off (3 years before our loan is due), so we won't have any debt other than our house.
