The Kinect is great for exercise and for Kids to play games. Beware that a lot of games for the Xbox require extra storage beyond the 4 GB on this system to run. If you want to play any of the Tier 1 titles, like DragonAge 2, Skyrim, Halo 4, and more, you will need a Hard Drive for them to run. If you buy this system, enjoy it, but also start putting away for a Microsoft Xbox 320 GB Hard drive (https://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/accessories/xbox-360-320gb-media-hard-drive/97831 is an example of one). The current release does come with a free Lego Star Wars III the Clone Wars game, so in reality, you end up paying only 100 for the hard drive and 20 for the game.
n order to play original Xbox games on the 360, you will need a Microsoft Hard drive because it has the emulators on it. The 3rd party ones do not.

I like the Kinect over the Wii for the simple fact that you cannot cheat the sensor on the Kinect. I own both systems and both have their benefits. The Kinect “forces” you to use your whole body instead of being able to cheat with just the remote (which is the only part the Wii sensor picks up on). So, when it comes to the Just Dance battles, skill is actually involved! 🙂 The kids in my family love the Kinect as well.

We have had two Wii’s that have broke and I am tempted to just get the xbox except they don’t have mario games which my kids love. I love the kinect feature on the xbox though. Kind of torn on which way to go next…another wii or the xbox. My kids want the WiiU but they are so expensive.
