  1. Wow, this is a great deal. Anyone out there who has a mixer…is the 4.5 mixing bowl large enough for a family? I am trying decide between this or the one at Costco which has a 5.5 mixing bowl.

  2. I have a family of 6, and I have my mom’s old 4.5 quart that she gave me. It is big enough for us. I use it 3-4 times a week for rolls or pizza dough or homemade bread. (2 loaves at a time) The only time it wasn’t big enough was once when I was making a triple batch of croissant rolls for a big crowd. So I would say if you make things for a crowd then get the bigger, but for day to day the smaller is fine for us. I LOVE mine, and when/if it dies I will be getting another one.
