We bought this 2 years ago (for $30 on Black Friday) for my son. He was 3 and no where near tall enough to reach (he is in the 75th percentile for height). We tried it this last summer (he is almost 5). He fit it, and rode it in a 4th of July parade. He complained that it hurt, but kept riding a little longer. Later when we were swimming we saw 3 bruises on his back. We later realized it was in the pattern of the hard plastic in the seat back (the pieces inside that hold it together). We bought him a different bike and I put this one in the recycling rather than selling/giving it away- no way would I let another child suffer with this thing! We waited almost 2 years to ride it for nothing 🙁
