In a natural disaster, we aren’t going to leave our animals to fend for themselves. So, it is important to have food packed in your 72 Hour Kits for your animals as well.
I spotted a Free 6 oz Pouch of Purina Pro Plan Dog or Cat Food! Just print out the coupon and take it into PetSmart with you to get your freebie. 6 oz is not a ton and it may not be the brand that your dog or cat eats. But in an emergency, it would be good to have!
(You will have to create a Free PetPerks account, if you don’t have one to print the coupon)
You can also request a Free Sample of Rachael Ray’s Nutrish Dog Food, if you haven’t done so.

Not sure the Rachel Ray sample is still valid. The link for the free sample just directs you back to Walmart's homepage.

Hi I know you had a post before about suggestions for the 72 hour kits. I am sure you are already have this in mind but for my kids I have a backpack for each kid. I get them on clearance after school starts for a couple dollars. I also include markers, crayons, and a note book just in case. My target in AZ only had a couple backpacks left on clearance. I even rotate my backpack if someone wants a new one for school. Just an idea!
