One thing our family loves to do is travel.  But, if you aren’t careful, you can pay WAY too much for your vacations.  One site that I personally love is called Travelzoo.  If you aren’t already signed up for their weekly emails, make sure you are!  (And, confirm your subscription with an email they send, so you actually start getting emails this week!)

They will send you an email every week with the Top 20 Travel Deals.  They basically do all of the work for you.  These deals are so crazy in fact that they usually sell out pretty fast.

After you start seeing the kinds of deals in their Top 20, you will get more of an idea for yourself.  But, some of the things I have seen in the past are ridiculous, like Roundtrip airfare to Europe for $300!!

Since all of these deals are amazing, what I recommend doing is start putting away a little cash here and there for a vacation fund.  Then, when a deal pops up on the place you were hoping to travel to, you can hurry and book it at that crazy rate before it sells out.

Travelzoo emails are the one thing that I wait for in the morning.  As soon as I see it, I open it and see what deals there are.  You just never know what vacation deals will pop up.  And, our family has been able to take advantage of a few of them. It’s saved us a ton of money!

  2. Just curious if anybody has found a legitimate deal from Travel Zoo or if this is just more of an ad? We signed up and went to book an awesome deal (not even wanting it just to see if it was legit) and sure enough it said, “this deal is no longer available”. K, then why is it being advertised all over your site. I would love to hear what deals people have scored to know if it’s even worth looking into.

    • I have used them before. They basically link to whatever other site the deal is on, whether directly through the hotel/agency or other deal type site. A lot of the best ones do sell out quickly though. They don’t completely re-do their site once it is gone. I think they just refresh they specials every 24 hours.

    • Annie,

I found out about Travel Zoo from this site quite awhile ago. We travel all the time, so I checked it out to see if it was legit. In my opinion, no. I tried probably 30 different vacations over the course of about three months and not once was the vacation available. Needless to say, I am no longer signed up with them.

  3. I can’t even get on the site at all. It just tells me the offer is no longer available.

  4. I got amazing Broadway tickets from TravelZoo a few years ago. TravelZoo isn’t a scam; they are just an aggregator and post deals that they find on other websites. ShermansTravel does the same thing and I get emails from them as well. Great deals do sell out fast, so you have to jump on them. A lot of the things they find are package deals, and I usually like to purchase my vacations piecemeal, so I haven’t bought any other deals yet.
