To kick off the Days of ’47 celebration, there will be a free Family Fun Day at the Utah State Fairgrounds on Saturday July 7th. Parking and Admission is free. You can also bring your own food; although there will be vendors available to purchase food from as well.
The day will consist of the activities listed below:
- The Days of ’47 Rodeo Games
- Educational Crafts
- Art Garden
- Magic Show
- Carnival Games
- Pioneer Demonstrations
- Live Music and Entertainment
- Dancing
- Mini King and Queen Royalty Competition
Kids will be allowed to meet rodeo staff as well as some of the animals. They can also learn how to rope a cow and participate in other exciting rodeo activities.
The Mini King and Queen competition will be held from 12:00pm-2:00pm. The Days of ’47 Royalty will interview the applicants and select the Mini King and Queen. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 are welcome to compete for a chance to win the crown and ride in the Youth Parade on July 14, 2012.

Do you know a time that these activities go from? I see the competion times are 12-2 but, what time do they start and end the day?
