Utah Readers: Robert’s Arts and Crafts Closing ALL Stores!

I got a heads up from reader Gina, that ALL Robert’s Arts and Crafts stores will be closing.  Their liquidation will start on Monday, Dec 5th.  And, as you can probably guess.. things will be heavily discounted to get rid of everything.

These 5 remaining store locations will be closing: American Fork, Orem, Provo, South Jordan and Washington, Utah.  Although they haven’t advertised the markdown prices, you may want to be watching their Facebook wall, just in case they give some hints to what we can see.

Just some advice, you might want to be there right when the store opens on Monday morning… most of the hot items could be gone pretty fast.

After their stores have completely closed by January 2012, they will have only an online store.

  2. When they closed the Brickyard store they did the same thing…a lot of the high priced items like Cricut machines were not eligible for the discount, however. I wonder if it will this time since ALL the stores are closing instead of just one?

  3. Hey Melea, have they already closed the Sandy store? I used to go there all the time but haven’t been in a few months…

  4. I really think I might cry. I was so sad when the West Jordan store closed. Roberts is my FAVORITE craft store. I like they so much better than Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

  5. I was so sad when they closed the Clinton store. They always had better prices than all the other craft stores. Especially since they always had a coupon you could use that was available in the store instead of only through the mail. I miss that store!

  8. The South Jordan store has a sign in the door that says 30% off everything starting Monday. I didn’t look to see if there were exclusions, but some things they were already out of stock and wouldn’t be restocking, so they may not have what you are looking for even before they increase the discounts.
