I’m not sure if this is why you’re confused but the coupon is not specific to bounty. It’s good for $3 off any purchase at staples totaling $3 or more.

The store in Orem wasn’t thrill to see the coupons and papertowels my son and I were each carrying, they only two packages left when we left the store. They even made the comment that someone must be calling all their neighbors about the coupon and papertowels.

I just went to the West Valley Staples location, and they didn’t have any of the 6 roll packs. They only had the 8 roll packs for $6.99 – so it would have made it $3.99. I decided to go with 3 packs of $1 Wipes so I only had to pay the tax!
