I finally got a chance to head over to Target for some much needed coupon shopping! And, I couldn’t believe how many bottles of the Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropics Sunscreens were left for the $5.00 Target Gift Card Deal. It’s like everyone forgot to do that deal.
While I was there, I actually noticed that the Banana Boat Aloe Lotion was included in the Gift Card Deal. And I always like to have that on hand because my poor husband burns so easily.
Here is the scenario:
Purchase 2 Banana Boat Aloe Vera Lotions for $4.99 Each
Use 2 of the $1.00 off Banana Boat Coupons from the 05-22-11 SS
You pay $7.98, but you get back a $5.00 Target Gift Card.
Total cost $2.98 for both or $1.49 each!!
With this picture, I also want to point out how using coupons combined with deals can save you MORE MONEY than always purchasing store brands. Notice that the store brand costs $3.49 and by using coupons with the name brand deal, you only spend $1.49. So you saved $2.00 just by using your coupon. I will always check to see if my coupon deal will be cheaper than the store brand, if not- then the store brand I will buy. But most of the time, you can purchase things for a TON cheaper if you wait for the sale and use the coupon too!

Lucky your cashier did it!! Mine scanned it and said it wasn’t included:( I really NEEDED that more than the sunscreen. Off the topic,I seem to always have trouble with Target…especially with their John Freida coupons buy 2 get $3.00 off or whatever it is. I have had to go back on 2 seperate occasions because even though the coupons scan with no problem, the math never ends up correct! Grrrr.
