Walgreens Diapers only $1.13 per Pack Today!!

DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission.

NEW Update:  As I suspected, the 20% off coupon DOES NOT exclude diapers!  YAY!  However, you will have to purchase 6 packages- not 5.  This has been clarified by a F2D Reader who is actually a Walgreens manager and a reader who went bright and early this morning. Read the last few comments in this post  to see exactly what they did.

If your Walgreens still has the Walgreens Brand Diapers in-stock, this is a deal you will want to try and grab today, Thursday, March 31st.

Buy 6 Packs of Walgreens Brand Diapers $5.99 each
Use the 20% Off Walgreens Coupon (-$4.49) Coupon only valid Thursday
PLUS, use the $2.00 off Walgreens Diaper Coupon (found in the Infant Care Booklet) Will deduct $10 with only ONE coupon
Total cost $16.76
Then, submit for $10 Mail In Rebate that prints at checkout.  Total cost $6.76 or $1.13 per package!!

Walgreens will only take 1 coupon per item you are purchasing.  Since the 20% off coupon throws you over the limit of coupons, you may need to purchase a filler item like a $.10 pencil or anything else you can find to make the transaction work.

  1. is the infant care booklet at the store, or something I needed to have already gotten?

    • It will depend on your store. Ask the pharmacy for it.

  2. Walgreens will only let you use the 2.00 infant coupon on one package of diapers. And then they took my coupon!!!! Where do u get 20percent off coupon????

    • Mine in Layton didn’t have anymore coupon books to hang out just the master but they were willing to scan their coupon multiple times (for how many diaper packages I hade).
If you click the link in blue on Melea’s post it will take you right to the page. Then click on the “click to print” button.

My problem…aren’t they a 24hr store? Does that mean it will start working at 12am?!? I might be making a midnight run.

  3. Thanks! And I don’t know about the buying more than one package part, but the coupon should work. The first *said that it excludes diapers, but the second ** is the one that applies to the coupon we want and it doesn’t say diapers! 😀

  4. FYI: You might want to read the coupon, it excludes Diapers.

  5. “The offer is not valid on diapers, baby formula, photo, pharmacy, electronics, contact lenses, newspapers, stamps, dairy, cards and a few other items. ” Too bad, that would have been a great deal!

  7. What if I have a rain check for the buy 1 get 1 free, with a limit of 4 packs. Can I use those to buy 5, and then also the coupon. What would that make it for the diapers?

  8. I read that it says no valid on coupons, but it may be accepted, just look for a nice cashier… .

  9. Advocating dishonesty is lame! It clearly excludes diapers…and people wonder why cashiers/stores are cracking down on couponers!!

    Reply
    • Wasn’t my intention to advocate dishonesty because I TOTALLY agree with you. I’m just confused by the fine print of the coupon. I figured if people are already going to pick up the diapers, they should check while they are there to see if the 15% off is the only coupon that excludes diapers- or if the 20% off does too. The managers should know.
**The fine print that printed off on the bottom of the page was different from the coupon entirely- so it makes it even more confusing.

      • Melea, I converted the page you print from which shows the coupon for online and the one for in store which clearly shows a list of exclusions (DIAPERS ARE NOT LISTED) – using the print page option and then saved it. Once saved, it printed out the way it displayed (we messed around with it forever and kept getting the four coupons which said diapers WERE excluded). I figured it would be wise to have what we saw online as a back up to show then how confusing it really was if it was denied. Good luck everyone! I’m still scooping them up today for best availability!

        • When you look at the coupon online, you see it only says excludes diapers for the online orders, not in store. Thanks Melea

  10. Okay, so I went to Walgreens to the pharmacy and asked for the Infant Care coupon book from the pharmacist. Done. Then I went to the baby aisle to find that 1,2 and 3 were all sold out. They had NB and 4 and 5 only. I asked if they had more, they did not. I’m buying for my brother’s baby due in July, so NB works fine for me. BUT they only had 8 packs on the shelf. Ugh. So, I figure I’d rather get some today for a little more than hold out for the best deal and miss out completely. I also read that they are regularly 8.99 per pack on sale for 5.99 per pack and in order to get the $10 rebate, you must spend $25. So I take 5 pks of diapers up and after the coupon, my total is only $20 and change. Not enough for the rebate! Aparantly, it’s $25 AFTER coupons to get the rebate. Okay, so I go back and get one more pack. Now I have 6, the $2 coupon from the Infant Care Book I got from the pharmacist works on all 6 packs (only one coupon). I get the rebate form and my total after tax is $25.51. After the rebate, that’s $15.51 for 6 packs or $2.59 each. Still a great deal for $9 diapers! Then as I’m driving home, I realize that tomorrow AFTER they take off the 20% (IF they’ll take the coupon), that drops them to $4.79 minus the $2 coupon from the Infant Care book for a total of 2.79 each BEFORE the rebate, but remember, you still have to spend $25 to get the rebate, so that means NINE packs for $25.11 (plus tax) before the $10 rebate. That ends up being $15.11 (plus tax) for NINE packs for a per pack price of $1.66 plus tax which is roughly $1.82. 77cents difference per pack to buy them today when you might find some on the shelves vs tomorrow when you might have to fight for them. I’m off to the next store to buy 6 more packs while I can still find them! Still an excellent deal, but it’s NOT 79 cents per pack. Good luck everyone!

  11. On my adventures tonight, I asked a local manager about the coupon for tomorrow. He said they only learned about it today and their email didn’t mention diapers as an exclusion and he said he’d be surprised if they WERE excluded because usually they’re not. I also asked abou the b1g1 raincheck someone had and he said “of course we’ll take that and honor all the other deals too!” WOW! Lucky folks with a raincheck! He also told me I could purchase any size and when they replenished their stock, I was welcome to exchange them for the correct size with no problem at all! I stopped at 18 packs for a total of $46.53 after rebates. Not bad!

  12. I bought 4 pks of diapers and 1 pack of wipes…….my rebate didn’t print either, so I pointed it out and she said that after the coupons I didn’t qualify so I asked to speak with the manager. The manager (nicest guy in the world) said he’d do better than print out the mail-in-rebate…..he gave me the $10 in CASH. Told the cashier, out loud, in front of me, that Walgreens is a billion $$ corp. and also pointing out that I’m diapers which means I have a baby and that I will need more in the future…..he’d rather me be happy and get repeat business. Going back tomorrow with the 20% and buying more…….the manager has already ok’d the process so tomorrow should go much more smooth

  13. You people are lame. Trying to beat the system. It makes no difference if the manager is “super nice” and hands you $10. or if “maybe they will run it through anyway.” It’s not what Walgreens intended. So, basically you are trying to steal from the company. This is a bad deal and should not have been posted.

    Reply
    • Seriously, it is up to the manager what he does here. I’m sure if neccessary she would have added another pack of diapers. And when a deal is supposed to work and it doesn’t, it is not lame to ask for more help to figure it out. We coupon shop because we need to live within a budget AND provide for our families. Businesses know coupon shoppers are out there and that’s why they offer these deals anyway. For me personally, I have saved tons and it has helped us so much while in school and landing a career.

  14. It’s not stealing from the company! I am a manager at another store and if a deal in the ad doesn’t ring right, we want our customers happy! I would have done the same at my store. What cost more to a store: 2 people trying to figure out a difficult deal and end up with an angry customer or a manager quickly making it right to a happy customer who will return knowing they have been taken care of? No brained to me!! Thanks to Melea all of us save in a rough economy! Also, the manager of our local Walgreens called me and told me about this deal and she did say diapers DO work on the 15% off coupon!

    Reply
  15. OK folks so here is the deal. You can use the 20% on the diapers but to get the rebate certificate you have to buy 6 not 5. The cashier has to ring the 20% off coupon first. Then when they scan the diapers they ring up at $4.79 each. 5 only adds to $23.95 so it doesn’t meet the $25 requirement (I tried and it did not print the rebate coupon). If you buy 6 the total is $28.74 and that prints up the rebate coupon. Then I used the $2 off coupon and it deducted $9.60 (not really sure how they got that number). So before tax my total is $19.14. With the $10 rebate that is $9.14 for 6 packs of diapers ($1.52 is still a great price). Hope that helps!

    • From my past experience sometimes it takes the 20% off of the q as well. Which is what it seems it did in your case. Last time there was a 20% off q it took 20% off some of the q’s and others rang up at full value. I don’t remember if they were wags q’s or mq’s. HTH

  16. Did the same thing as Frank and it works. The manager also told me that because it’s an employee discount type coupon, the $2.00 off coupon will be readjusted and not be the full $2 off. So the deal will be 6 diapers at $19ish with the $10 rebate. Completely legit!

  18. So I just tried to do this deal at the Clinton Walgreen’s and they were NOT cooperative at all!!!!! First they told me I was out of luck for the $2 infant care booklet because they ran out of them. After I pushed her on it a bit she called a manager to come over but the manager would only take off $8 total (not sure why) they did do the 20% off coupon but then they pretty much told me “too bad that makes it so you can’t get the $10 mail in rebate” and wouldn’t even discuss it further. I ended up paying $3.40 per pack and I am considering taking them back and trying a different store. I was VERY unimpressed with their customer service!!!! Anyone know a store in Davis County that will be more accommodating of this deal??

    • I had my mom go pick some up for me as I had a sleeping baby. I had the coupon code for the $2 off that I told her they could input.
The Bountiful store apparently wouldn’t take that (GRR) and then @ the WX store another customer gave her an extra booklet and they would only apply that $2 coupon once to 1 package of diapers (GRR) and then took the coupon (GRR).
I want to call the manager at both places and tell them that it needs to be corrected. I had the coupon/codebee and it should have been applied to all packages. Their wording on those things sucks.
Anyone think I could call a different store to get the $2 coupon thing worked out?
And as a BTW, neither store has any stock left.

  22. It worked at the South Ogden Walgreens on 36th st. I bought 5 packages of diapers and 1 package of wipes. The 20% off coupon worked on all items. It also takes 20% off the Walgreens coupon. Then they applied the in-store $2 coupon (they no longer have the actual coupon but they will input the coupon code at the register). After the $10 rebate and before tax the price comes out to $1.66 each. I can live with that.

    • I just left that location, mad, the manager told me the coupon excludes diapers and that was that. He was very rude and not helpful at all, then he took my coupons so I couldn’t go to another store without running home first to print more. Now I’m not sure if I even want to go back up there.

  23. The Walgreens I went to had a store limit of 4 packages of diapers – bummer. I will try another location, but by the time I get to it they will be sold out of diapers.

  24. I did this at the Sunset location in St. George. When I first went in and asked about the coupon book, the cashier was extremely rude and told me they were out and when I asked about a master copy she could scan, she even more rudely told me no and there was nothing she could do about it. I asked the pharmacist if they had any back there and when they didn’t, she buzzed the manager. The manager was very kind and said she had one at the beauty desk and to come check out there. Instead of taking off $4.79 one time, the 20% coupon made each pack $4.79 instead of $5.99 and when she scanned the $2 diaper coupon, it automatically took off $9.60. I purchased 6 packages at $19.14 so after the mail in rebate they will be $1.52 each. Still a great price! Thanks Melea!

    • I did the same thing at the Walgreen’s on Riverdale Road. I got each pack at $4.79 with the 20% off coupon and then when she scanned the $2 diaper coupon it took 2.00-20% from the friends and family coupon equaling $9.60 off…so I paid $19.14 total before tax…not bad.

  25. The Walgreens I went to told me I couldn’t use the 20% on diapers and it had to be $25 before tax even after the $2 off Walgreens diaper coupon (I couldn’t use the $2 coupon after I got my purchase to $25 to take it down X amount of dollars and only pay the total w/ coupons) I wasn’t allowed use any RR to help pay for my purchase either. The manager told me I had to pay the $25 OOP… has anyone ran into this prob? The total came to $27 (and some odd cents) and thats what had to be paid.

    • Allison- He said you couldn’t use an RR to pay for your transaction? He MUST be totally crazy or just new. Take in the walgreens coupon policy with you next time. He is mistaken on the Walgreens Policy.

      • So my question now is, 1st, for the rebate to print out does the total have to be $25 before tax even after coupons are used? So my total was like $25.67 (w/ tax) before coupons then they took it down to 17.67 w/ the $2 off infant coupon…. wouldn’t it still print out because it was $25. Or does it have to be $25 after all coupons and discounts entered? I ended up have to buy more products to bring it up to $25. Is there something from Corporate that specifies the rules for the 10 rebate?

  27. I had a raincheck from last week for 8pcks. I picked up 8 packs of diapers. Total: $17.01. Then deducting the $10 rebate they end up being 7.01 for 8 packs of diapers (including tax!) WAHOO! Great deal and I now love walgreens diapers so will be back for more. All of the coupons worked without a hitch because it is a legitimate deal!

    • Is this the same raincheck for when they were 2/$8.99, then after the $2 coupon twice (one coupon for each diaper) they would be $2.50 a pack? And you were able to use the 20% off coupon as well? If so, I’m so going back!

      Reply
  28. Oh, and I had a $5 OYNO coupon and that rang up as well (meaning I actually paid less out of pcket but I don’t count that in my deal calculater b/c I counted it in when I purchased another product)

  29. K, I am looking for advice from pro couponers. I just went to Walgreens (not the one I usually go to cause there were out of the size I want). I got 6 packs of diapers, but no one knew of the $2 off coupon and they didn’t have a copy to scan. The manager was really nice and did a price match, but then the diapers rang up at $3.99 a pack, so I had to buy 7 packs. Then they had to scratch my total order because I didn’t know they had to scan the friends and family’s coupon first. So in the end I got 8 packs of diapers at $3.19 a pack then the $10 rebate so I got my diapers for $1.94 a pack. Which is good but not as good as others.

What do you do in situations like this? They were super nice, but I know they were very happy to see me go. I felt bad, but I wanted the best deal and wasn’t going to buy the diapers without the $2 off coupon.

    Reply
  30. this didnt work for me, first it wouldnt print the rebate unless total was over 25 after coupons, and they only scanned the 2.00 off coupon once and only took it off one diaper set. Then i ended up having to buy 7 packs of diapers…not that great of a deal

  31. So I had to buy 8 packs/transactions. My total was 27.06 for 8 plus I’ll get the rebate. Totally happy with that!! My only question is: what do you for multiple MIRs? It says one per household.

  34. Does any one know if the booklets are only available in certain states. I live in WA state and neither of the Walgreens by me said they get the infant care booklet (both cashiers checked with the managers). The 20% coupon worked and I got the rebate. At $3 a pack, it is still a good deal, but I would have loved to score the cheaper ones.

  35. Does anyone know if the rebate will work if my receipt shows that I only actually paid about $20 out of pocket?
