Freebies2Deals Meals Posts…What do you Think?

I know we all get some great grocery deals each week.  Sometimes we add them to our stockpiles when they are at “stock up” prices.  And sometimes, we use them to make meals for our family.

Either way, I thought it might be a good idea to feature a recipe of the week that includes coupon possibilies and even items that you may have in your current stockpile from the Grocery Matchups. Ideally, each recipe would tell you how much you could purchase everything for, give links to printable coupons, show calorie information and even give you the opportunity to take your leftovers to make a follow-up recipe the next day.

Would you guys be interested in something like that?  Would it help you out putting together cheap meal ideas?

  13. May I suggest you get someone who’s very good at it? Like, for example, Mel’s Kitchen Cafe, whose recipes are always fabulous. She might not even have to type anything up – you could just get permission to copy a recipe onto this site that uses ingredients on sale.

  25. I think it is a good idea, but i really only buy the DEALS that I know how to use and my family eats already! So if you want to take on that project I will read it, I may even try it sometimes, but it will not be what brings me to your site!!

  26. I use a website that provides this kind service 🙂 It is called Dealstomeals.com

They make my grocery list each week, price match every store in Utah (They have different options for each state) and then they create a 7 day meal plan + 2 desserts + 2 food storage recipes that works around the sales. It is a GREAT site! Helps cut down on planning my meals and grocery list. I use it in conjunction to your site and I go home saving a lot of time & money.

There is a 2 week free trial and then it is $5/month after that. It saves me more than that each month in time and stress 🙂 You should check it out.

  35. I think it’s a great idea! I’d love to have a meal and the shopping list already compiled (and the coupon links accessible is fantastic!) I don’t really care about the calorie info. as much, though it’s a nice thing to do for others who don’t already have an idea of what the caloric values would be. Thanks for offering!

  36. Yes, PLEASE. But, I agree with a couple of the other posters. You do already have a lot on your “plate” (ha ha), so maybe you could research or team up with one of the suggested sites? I think that you have a GREAT idea though however you choose to implement it. THANK YOU!

  42. Super idea! I have another thought- instead of you planning all of it, you could call for readers to submit ideas; then give out gifts/some sort of incentive to those who’s ideas you highlight that week- that way we could all help each other out! But maybe you already thought of that! 🙂

  43. Love the idea. I never know what to make with all the foods I get coupons for. So either the coupons go unused or the food goes wasted.
