Don’t forget that Valentine’s Day Clearance is going strong. So if you haven’t checked it out yet, you might want to head over to stores in your area to see what crazy discounts they have on things like candy, flowers, cards and more!
Last night, I was at Smith’s and they had grocery carts full of markdowns. Candy was marked down 50%- 75% off!
If you have a favorite Valentine’s Day Candy, go stock up and you can eat it the rest of the year. Or you can use it for upcoming Birthday Parties, Easter Baskets or even the 4th of July. The way to do this without it looking silly is to pick items or colors that go with an upcoming party or celebration. For example, I would try to find Valentine’s Candy that might fit inside Easter Eggs and maybe in Pastel colors. Or grab “RED” candy for the 4th of July. Red Hots or anything Cinnamon should be pretty easy to find.
Another Holiday to possibly buy for?? Mother’s Day!! All of those boxes of chocolates that are marked down could make a great Mother’s Day Gift. Your kids could even use their money to grab a little something for Grandma–since they will be so cheap!
I will say that decorations are my favorite part of the Valentine’s Day Clearance. Hearts are useful all year round!

Walmart had mini potted roses on 50% clearance (so I paid $2.98). I received one of these for my birthday a few years ago. When it stopped blooming, I planted it outside, and now it grows up to my waist each year, and it’s GORGEOUS!

I don’t care if I look silly. *hee* The other day at Walgreens’ they had 7 oz bags of candy I love 1/2 off (.49 each) so I loaded up. After I took them, they still had quite a few left so perhaps on another visit (if any are still there) they’ll be even cheaper. Then, I went across the street to CVS Pharmacy & bought a couple larger bags. Funny you mentioned pastel colors for some have wrappers that tie into perfectly for Easter. I thought I could use for upcoming holidays too but, not sure about Christmas. I couldn’t find expiration dates on any of them. Not that they’ll last that long anyway. *confessed choco-holic*
