I’ve had so many of you email me and message me on social media wanting to know if we are going to do another discounted group trip to Disneyland in the Fall.  And it looks like we might have enough interest.  But I just have to make sure and get some comments and thoughts from you guys about it all too!!

If you are new to Freebies2Deals, for the past two years we have done these awesome discounted group trips to Disneyland.  We get exclusive rates at a few different hotels (from the deluxe to quality locations), things like Free Character Dining, discounts on Park Tickets and all of that.  Each year the discount is different, but it is always awesome and cheaper than what we could have got on our own.

So for all of you who want to do a Group Trip to Disneyland in the Fall, I need to know.  Please leave a comment below letting me know if you are interested in going with your family.

The past two years we have gone the last week of September because it is Halloweentime at Disneyland, which is pretty cool. And it is before the park gets super busy.  We even miss all of park goers on break for UEA. It’s great timing.

This year, I was actually thinking we could possibly try something else instead??  Maybe we could do the second week of November and we could actually do Christmastime at Disneyland!  It’s the one time of year I haven’t done and have always wanted to do.  I mean, Christmas at Disneyland??  It’s gotta be awesome!  It’s also a slower time of year for Disneyland–which means even better rates for us and our big group.  And shorter lines!

So when you comment below letting me know if you are interested in me putting together a group discounted trip, let me know if either of those times sound fun or only one works and just give me your input.  I know I won’t be able to make everyone happy.  But getting your opinions does help me make decisions based on what the majority of you want to do.  So thanks for commenting!

  1. I love the 2nd week of November or the 3rd week ( the week before thanksgiving.) I am always partial to any time around the 17th (its my birthday so best time to be in disneyland)
Also november gives more payments on it.

  2. I’d love to go if we can swing it! 2nd week of November works for us, not Christmas though 🙂

  3. We’ve been contemplating doing Disney and thought that this year may be a possibility for us. At that time there will be 5 of us (kids aged 6, 4, and 7 month old) with the possibility of having grandma and grandpa too, so if we could get in on an awesome group deal that would be even better. We’d be good with either of those weeks, but less busy would be great! Thanks for looking into it and possibly arranging it again this year 🙂

  8. We’ve been wanting to take our children on their first Disneyland trip but they haven’t been tall enough to warrant such the hefty price. We’d be willing to consider the trip with a nice discount and anytime works for us (we will have a 6, 4 and 9 month old this fall – 5 total in the family + a possible nanny).

  9. We went to Disneyland in November and had an employee tell us that they will not be doing Christmas in Disneyland for 2015 or 2016 due to the 60th anniversary celebrations. Don’t know how accurate, but something you might want to check into.

  48. I have a friend that works at Disneyland that says they won’t be decorating with their classic Christmas decorations 2015 and possibly 2016. Instead they will have the Diamond Jubilee decor for the 60th Anniversary. I was sad to hear it wouldn’t be the classic Christmas, but the 60th Anniversary decorations could be really fun too!

  49. The crowd calendar I just looked at has low crowds for the 16-20th of November so I vote to go then!! We went for Christmas last year and it was miserable but we made it fun. We loved HalloweenTime so much this year but it made me want to experience ChristmasTime when it wasn’t so hectic. This would be perfect, but either way you go I will be happy:) thanks so much for all you do for us!!

  58. We ONLY do Disneyland at Christmas, but We go the 1st or 2nd week in December because we hit Las Vegas to when their rooms are $25/night on the strip. Plus my husband can take off from his work by not taking vacation in the month of December to. We are planning on going this year so if you do a group rate for the 1st or 2nd week in Dec, my family of 5 is in. We love to stay at the Desert Inn and Suites because it’s a fast walk (no waiting for shuttles) and they have free hot breakfast included. We also go through GetAwayToday because it has ALWAYS been the cheapest way. (I check every time we go). 🙂

  158. I’ve seen a lot of comments about Disney Cruises. We’ve been on 13+ cruises but only one Disney. Why?
Because it’s SO expensive–average for a 3 or 4 day cruise is around $500 per person and Disney rarely does discounts on their cruises because they don’t have to–they know people want the Disney experience and therefore will “gladly” pay a premium. Further, they usually charge full fare for the 3rd and 4th & 5th persons sharing a cabin. So a family of 4 is easily $2000 plus for a 3/4 day cruise–up to double that price for a 7 day, PLUS you have to pay gratuity PLUS taxes/fees on top of the posted fare. Oh, and don’t forget airfare. And it’s just as expensive leaving from either coasts. so what do we do? We choose other cruise lines that have great kid programs but are much cheaper. (Ie, 1st & 2nd person around $299 or 3rd & 4th either free or $99/pp–and yes, they are available and easy to find IF you’re willing to go off season). That being said, the cruise was amazing—if you’re willing to pay the high price:) Now if Melea can pull off a major discount on a Disney cruise because of group pricing, I’d definitely be “in”!

  176. Yes please! Interested in either based on cost as well. We have never taken our kids to Disneyland and would LOVE to go with them while getting a good deal at the same time:)

  177. I love disneyland at Christmastime. But be careful it’s around the first 2 weeks of November when they are filming the performances for the Christmas Day celebration and it gets busy! And you want to make sure you’re there when they have all the Christmas decorations set up. They gradually put them all up each day at the beginning of the month.

  178. Like some of the other wives that are trying to convince their husbands to go, I am too. If the deal and timing is just right my family is WAY interested in going during the Christmas season. Obviously when the crowd index is low. Yeah!!!

  183. We are dying to take a trip this year and would be interested in being part of the group. My husband and I have gone around Christmas time (first week of december) and it was amazing! Not very busy and so fun with all the Christmas decorations. We would love to take our kids now. November would work for us. But we could also do September if that is what you decide. 🙂

  185. We have gone to Disneyland 4 times the week before Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. There was no crowd but all the Christmas decorations were in full bloom. We went this year in October and it was the busiest we have ever seen it. Even the workers stated that it was much, much busier than in previous years. Christmas time is definitely magical!

  189. We went the beginning Dec this year when the hours increased to 9 am to 10 pm. It was perfect!! Think second Monday in Dec. was the date. We went year before when hours 10 to 8 and wasn’t quite long enough for us since you had to leave after the parade. We’ve always wanted to stay in a Disney hotel and take advantage of magic hour or extras like character dining or saved parade seating. Disneyland during the holidays is magical! Keep me posted.

  190. Either time would be great… there are other times of the year that work too. Early or mid May is nice and the crowds are not bad. The first or second week of Dec are excellent – because all of the Christmas decorations are up and that is before the peak season too.
    Keep us posted too.

  201. I’ve been trying to convince my husband that we need to take our kids to Disneyland. They have never been but talk about it a lot (ages 9, 6, 4). He would rather do a Disney cruise, which I think sounds fun too. We’ve even talked about going one a Disney Cruise for Christmas next year. But if there was an awesome deal, maybe I could convince him to do Disneyland.

  202. I would love to go at Christmas time!! We can’t afford to go this year… we went last year, and this year we are planning a different vacation, but I hope this is something you do in the future!! Christmas would be such a fun time to go! It’s so magical anyway, that I’m sure Christmas makes it even better! We went last year, and I was so surprised at how short the lines were! I will never go to Disneyland in the peak summer times again!! Thanks for all you do, Melea!!

  204. Its like you read my mind! We were also thinking it would be awesome to do Disneyland for Christmas next year instead of more stuff. I’ve already pitched the idea to two married siblings with families so we could all go together. If you could do a major discount and most of the planning how could they say no? Christmas is perfect also because the kids are already out of school and for those of us in Utah we could easily drive or fly cheap Christmas day. Please, please please! We are SO in.
