I think I already follow you on you tube. And I like all of your giveaways and love your site, but it seems like its getting a little excessive to be entered into your giveaways. It’s nice to subscribe to things and get info, but doing so just to get into a drawing doesn’t really do either person a favor. And no one should have to subscribe to something unless they really want the emails and info that come afterwards. I like that you draw attention to other site and bloggers, but maybe just checking them out should be enough? Not everyone loves posting and subscribing to everyone and every little thing. Way too much useless junk mail usually ensues in the inbox afterwards and just gets lost anyways. Yeah your “likes” will jump up, but they aren’t really “likes” when someone just does it for a contest drawing anyways. Not trying to be a rude or negative at all, but I would like to participate this week in your fun giveaways, but have to draw the line somewhere. What happened to just having fun on your site and rewarding the regular way?
Katie
I agree, eventually people will get fed up with it all an unsubscribe from everything…. I do understand from a marketing perspective, but it does seem a little excessive.
Melea Johnson
Rachel and Katie, I totally understand where you are coming from. Doing Giveaways are hard because if I do a Giveaway just for FB fans, people who don’t use FB are upset. If I do one just for Instagram, non instagrammers are upset. So I try to do Giveaways all across the board so that everyone has a regular chance to enter. I do do giveaways where no entry is required on a regular basis (in fact for our last giveaway today tomorrow, that is what we are doing.) However, Im trying to give all of the readers a chance to win something awesome by whatever way they follow or support Freebies2Deals. If one of those doesn’t work for you, you definitely don’t have to enter just to win a prize. Just wait for the next Giveaway that you do want to enter or can enter. I do them all of the time! And I will always change them up so everyone gets chances to enter no matter how they follow F2D. Thanks!!

Respectfully disagree. This is her job, not just for fun and entertainment, and it’s a very tinge consuming job. I believe she truly has our best interest at heart and it’s very nice and convenient to have such great deals and coupons at a glance. She clarified more than once in her last contest that in no way should we subscribe in all the different ways if we wouldn’t like notifications that way – it was just for bonus entries. All of the awesome and helpful info is available without subscribing or entering any give-away. This is not meant to be rude or negative to you either; it’s just hard to see what can seem like an entitled attitude. It’s generous enough to do contests and give-aways when she doesn’t charge her readers or subscribers to access the information it takes a lot of time to compile. It’s much more pleasant and becoming to just have an “attitude of gratitude”.

(In reply to Rachel’s comment above)
Rachel
To Tasha- I’m not ungrateful at all. I completely agree with you that it is very kind of Melea and generous of her to provide us with all of these helpful savings and deals ideas. Being a young mother as well, I know that between her moving and having kids and planning conferences, etc, that her job isn’t easy and takes a lot of time. All I was saying is that the REQUIRED entries are getting excessive- they aren’t “bonus” ones like you said. She requires you to subscribe and post things for the entry. Not everyone likes social media and it excludes a lot of people from participating when she does that. But of course, that’s just for extra fun and not the point of the site anyways. And yes, count your many blessings and being grateful is always the way to go.

I agree with Rachel and Katie, If the giveaways were just done for everyone who subscribes to your e mail, wouldn’t that give everyone a chance too?:)
