How do these compare to the “magformers”? I’m thinking of getting something like this for my 3 and 5 year old, but have no idea which ones to get! So expensive for magnets, but they get good ratings. Can anyone speak from experience?

These magnets are not nearly as cool as magformers! I also have a 3 and 5 year old boys and they love the magformers but these are so heavy and the magnets so weak that they can’t build anything without it collapsing. I also bought these because of the positive ratings although I have no idea how the ratings are so positive, maybe the people who wrote positive reviews have never compared them to magformers. I bought this exact set last year around Christmas time and wish the money could have been spent on magformers instead. We still play with our magformers (my husband and I included) on almost a daily basis, they don’t seem to get old.
