Update: One of my readers sent me this, “My Hubby is general manager in AF, he said Yesterday there was a similar deal for cardholders only but the Fri and Sat deal is for Everyone! Cardholders or not. The 50% off clearance ended yesterday but the 30% off still applies to anything that has an orange sticker or is on “sale”. everything in the store is 30% off. But if you sign up to be a cardholder you get a special something +the 30% off. ask about it.”
This Friday and Saturday, every single item at Old Navy stores will be 30% off. And, you don’t even need a coupon! Awesome. (Thanks CouponingtoDisney)

check your local store…I called and the store near me said the 30% is only offered for Old Navy cardholders and it does not apply on top of the 50% of clearance items. If you do not have a card, you may sign up at that time however.

I think it is stupid to not continue with the 50% off clearance on top of the 30% storewide. If they want to "get rid" of clearance why not make it worthwhile. That is my opinion.

Now when you say "cardholders" is that someone with an Old Navy credit card? Or is there an Old Navy customer card (something like a Smith's Fresh Values card) available?

"Cardholders" is someone with a old navy credit card. And actually most of their clearance is cleared out because of the 50%. If you catch it on time there are fabulous deals – shirts, pants, sweater for as little as .47 cents. Totally worthwhile even without the 30% off, if you ask me.
