I bought this model for my son for Christmas and it is AWESOME! It can work without being plugged in but then you can charge it and it doesn’t take batteries. The sound is so clear and LOUD. I use it outside when we are doing yardwork and even in my church gym for parties, etc. I just stream Pandora from my iPhone and it works fabulous on the bluetooth.
