I recently saw at the Springville Walmart, somewhat unofficial signs saying that ad matching customers need to bring the ads in with them to do the price/ad match. It is still stated in the Corporate Walmart Policy that we are NOT required to bring in the ad and it also does not say anything about manger’s discretion on making rules like that. Do you think it’s legitimate? Do you think all Walmarts are going to switch to requiring the ads again?

I heard the same thing and they have checked my ads the last three times I was in the Springville Walmart claiming “a new ad is out stating you MUST bring in the ads and show them to the clerk to price match an item and that it has to be a local store….” and they don’t consider some of the grocery stores in Orem “local” enough. Not only does it take longer but you also need to make sure they are doubling your coupons correctly for the Utah County Walmarts. I have had cashiers deduct the amount in their head and type it in, forget, argue they don’t do it and just had a hassle lately. I think they really just don’t want to price match or do the double coupons and are making it extremely difficult to do so.
