Walgreens Deals 1/10-1/16
Please remember that Walgreens has an 8 page ad and a 16 page ad. Depending on where you live, it is completely different. Utah gets the 8 page ad. Since that is where I live, I will only be posting the 8 page ad deals. If you check other coupon sites, remember that all of the deals they post may not be available to your area!!

Walgreens can be a difficult place to shop sometimes. **If you are new to couponing and need to know what RR stands for or how to use coupons at Walgreens, check out the Couponing 101 posts here, here and here.
**SS stand for Smart Source, RP stands for Red Plum, PG stands for Proctor and Gamble. They are all coupon inserts from the Sunday paper. I also give you links to printable coupons. So, if you don’t get a Sunday paper, there are still a lot of great deals you can get with printable coupons. If one is available, I will give you a direct link to it.
You can get a copy of the Walgreens Ad in stores. Also the coupon booklet can be found in stores next to the Walgreens Ads. The Diabetes and You Booklet is located in the Pharmacy. It is free.

VERY IMPORTANT: The rebate does not state that you can use multiple receipts. It says “store identified cash register receipt”. To me, that means that you have to spend $30 all on one receipt in order to qualify for the rebate. Other coupon bloggers are not reporting this…. and I think that a lot of their readers will not qualify for the rebate! I would hate that to happen to you! So, you can pick any of the above deals, or come up with your own. The total needs to be $30 BEFORE coupons. Because of the 50% off sale, you will count the one at regular price and the second at half off to get your $30. Make sense? Print off your rebate here. Make sure you read it carefully so you don’t miss anything.

Melea,When you buy a product with an RR and then try to use the RR on your next transaction that has a RR, will you still get the RR for that next transaction? Or do you need to use the RR on items that don't have a RR attached? Does that make sense?

Amy-You can use a RR on any product except the products you received the RR for. THe only trick is for a RR that includes multiple items. Last week they had a RR for any arrangement of kleenex, Dimetapp, Progresso products. If I received a RR for buying Dimetapp, I cannot use that RR to buy Progresso and get the new RR. Make sense? But, I can use that RR from the Dimetapp to buy Makeup and still get a RR for makeup.

After reading you Walgreens posts for the past few months I decided to try it out. I went with the idea of doing the Johnson and Johnson rebate. I ended up doing the Aveeno baby and clean and clear, they were out of Lubriderm size you suggested (and the diabetes coupon book) and the Roc Product. So I got a Lubiderm for $7.99 and used one coupon and another Aveeno baby using a third coupon I had. I added it up with 50% discount included and came to just over $30 for the rebate to work. Unfortunately when I got home I realized I got 50% of the third Aveeno I guess because it and the Lubiderm counted as bogo, So that made my total $28.39…shoot. I didn't realize it would work with different products. Am I out of luck since it all has to be on one receipt. Not sure this greenie walgreens shopper will try that again. Are they usually out of products so quickly, what time and day do you go to make sure you get the products? Thanks for your help.

My Walgreen's is always out of everything too!! (I live in Tooele, so we only have one). Would love to hear suggestions!Is the date for the Quaker coupon correct (2-22-09)?

Amy-Don't worry. Everyone messes up now and again. You should be able to return the items and then buy them again with one more product. That way you should have them all on one receipt. I would just ask for a manager and explain that you needed to buy one more product in order to submit for a rebate and it all needs to be on one receipt. Even though you don't have the coupons anymore, they should see them taken off the original receipt. Just be nice and ask if the manager can help you figure it out. Places that only have one Walgreens sell out of the product a lot faster. I would ask when they re-stock and what time they usually have the new product out. Go back at that time. I usually do that and don't go on Mondays but go on Wednesdays when my Walgreens has new product out.The date for the Quaker coupon should be right. But I can't verify it because I already used it a long time ago. Anyone else see it in their insert??

I just got some RR's (4 @ 2.50 each) yesterday. They were out of some things I wanted so I'm going back today. Can I use more than one RR per purchase and can I use them with manufacture coupons?

Yes, you SHOULD be able to use more than one RR at the same time. However, they are considered manufacturer coupons by Walgreens. So you will need to make sure you don't have more coupons and RRS than items you are buying.

I just got back from the store, now I understand what you mean about the number of coupons and RR's! I only bought what I needed to get to the $30 for the rebate so I had too many items to use all four of my RR's. If I would have understood before, I could have gotten $5 extra off, making my total $11.01 and then been able to submit for the $10 rebate-giving me $43.92 (w/b1g1 50%) worth of products for only $1.01! ggggrrrrrrr!!! Live and learn I guess ;(
