Is housework taking over your life? Are you ready to get it under control? What’s the worst room in the house that you have to deal with? Which room gets you more stressed out day by day?

For me, the most stressful room in my house is the kitchen. I have 3 kids and I feel like I am cooking and prepping meals ALL THE TIME. Also worth noting is my children’s ages. They are 17, 15 and 5. My teenagers are gone seemingly all the time as they are both in sports. If it isn’t a game day, it’s an hours long practice, so while they do pitch in and do some chores, most of it is left to me (who wants to wait and wait until the kids get home to get the house cleaned?). Until I learned these 4 things to do in the kitchen each day, I was finding myself waking up to a messy kitchen every day and I was going crazy!

3 Things to do in the Kitchen Each Day

Wash Your Dishes

Don’t leave yourself with a sink full of dishes to wake up to. No one likes to wake up to that. Spend 5 to 10 minutes each day washing your dishes and it will save you a ton of stress throughout the day.

Put Your Dishes Away

Yes, I did already put wash your dishes on the list, but you may be surprised to learn that many people don’t equate the two things. Even if you don’t wake up to a sink full of dishes, it’s still annoying to wake up to a load of dishes that you need to put away. Just do it and save yourself the annoyance.

Sweep Your Floor

Seriously, you guys. Just sweep your darn floors already! Assuming you don’t have an industrial kitchen, it won’t take you that long. The average kitchen size ranges from 70 (tiny apartment) to 700 (huge house) square feet. This will take you just minutes to sweep and boy does it feel good to know you have a clean floor.
