The WalMart Black Friday ad dropped late last night, and as usual, the retail giant did not disappoint this year! Be sure to check out the ad for some awesome deals on some of this years hottest wish-list wants!
Missing from the WalMart Black Friday ad this year are the (in)famous WalMart One Hour Guarantee items. Time will tell if this will be offered again this year or if the store will be replacing it with a similar strategy for shoppers. As in previous years, though, there are some sweet TV deals dominating the first page of the ad. We can see a 40″ Roku Smart TV for only $98.00! There are also 50″ and 65″ Smart TVs for $148.00 and $278.00!

Early WalMart Black Friday Deals
Not to be outdone by other retailers this season, WalMart has once again gotten a jump on discounting some of the holidays hottest gift list items!
Starting at midnight EST tonight, shoppers can take advantage of the Buy Now event. This sale is online only, and includes a handful of deals on computers, TVs, and other electronics, as well as deals on toys and home goods.
Some of these deals are even available right now, well before midnight! You can watch for these deals HERE. You can also find a complete list of the early WalMart By Now Deals with links HERE.
The WalMart Pre-Black Friday Event will also kick off a full week in advance. Starting Friday, November 22nd, many of the WalMart Black Friday deals will be available online starting at 12:00 AM EST. There’s no word yet on exactly which items will be available during this event, but we’ll have more information as it becomes available.
WalMart Black Friday Online
If you’re anything like us, you’d rather skip the lines and enjoy your holiday rather than braze the craziness of Black Friday in stores. For people like us, online shopping is where it’s at! Many of the WalMart Black Friday deals will be available online as well as in stores.
The online WalMart Black Friday sale will start at 10:00 PM EST on Wednesday, November 27th. Prices for the Black Friday items available online will automatically adjust at this time.
You won’t be the only one watching the clock that night, though! When the sale goes live, you have to be QUICK to grab the deals. Some deals sell out FAST! It’s best to bookmark your wishlist items now, so you’re ready to go when the deals go live. The easiest way I’ve found to do that is through the Black Friday ad online at WalMart.com. Hover over the items in the ad, click “Item Details”, then click “Shop Now”, and you’ll be taken directly to the product page.
WalMart offers free shipping on orders of $35.00 or more. For those of you making a purchase under $35.00, you can always opt for free store pickup.
Keep in mind, though, that some of the deals, particularly those marked as “Special Buy” may only be available in stores. So, if you aren’t able to grab a coveted deal online, you may have to bite the bullet and head to the store after all. A few of these “Special Buy” deals include the three TVs seen on the front page:
- onn 40″ Roku Smart TV — $98.00
- onn 50″ Class 4K Roku Smart TV — $148.00
- Philips 65″ Class 4K Android Smart TV — $278.00
WalMart Black Friday In Stores
Still planning to head to the store?
The in-store WalMart Black Friday sale kicks off on Thanksgiving Day. (Thursday, November 28th) You might still be able to get a little Turkey Day goodies in, though, since doors don’t open until 6:00 PM that day. Early birds are invited to line up at 4:00 PM on Thanksgiving to enjoy coffee, hot cocoa, and snacks. The WalMart Black Friday sale will continue at 8:00 AM the next day, November 29th.
Prepare for your shopping excursion by checking out the WalMart store maps in the WalMart app. These store maps are store specific, interactive, and color coded. Special updates will be available soon in anticipation for the event. Shoppers can search for items in the app, then find the item in the color coded map. Shoppers can locate some of the Black Friday items in the WalMart store maps right now. The maps will be updated a few hours before the event in stores.
If you don’t want to mess with smartphone apps, no worries! Associates will be available throughout the store during the sales to help shoppers locate the items that they want. If you want to skip the lines during Black Friday at WalMart, just look for associates wearing bright yellow vests. These associates are part of the new WalMart Check Out With Me program. These associates can scan your items on special mobile devices and swipe your card! That means no more hassle of waiting in line, making your day much easier and less stressful.
