I have a confession to make…

I’m a magazine JUNKIE!

I always have to have something to read around my house, and sometimes a book is just too much to get into, especially when my mind is so tired and I just wanna kick back and relax. At one point in time, I had so many magazine subscriptions that it was utterly insane. I’m pretty sure my mailman hated me, and the husband wasn’t terribly fond of my habit either. The piles of magazines stashed everywhere didn’t help matters much. Of course, the local hospital and doctors offices loved me every few of months during my magazine purges!

Eventually, though, I let my print magazine subscriptions expire. The magazine clutter just got to be too much! I did, however, keep some digital magazine subscription, and let me tell ya…so much easier! And, no clutter!

With digital magazine subscriptions, I can still kick back and lazily browse through the pages of my favorite magazines, but I don’t have to worry that my husband will ship me and my magazines off to some remote corner of the globe. I must say, I think I’m on much better terms with Mr. Postman too!

Having digital subscriptions of my favorite magazines is great! I can use my phone or tablet when I’m out and about, like when I’m waiting in the doctor’s office or just stopped to have a cup of coffee. I don’t even have to worry about lugging a heavy bag to the lake during the summer either.

My interests are very wide ranging, though, and my tastes are pretty eclectic. One day I might be browsing Food Network magazine to get new ideas for dinner, and the next you might find me pouring over an issue of This Old House. On days when food or building isn’t on the menu, it might be Time or Smithsonian you find me buried in. Some might say I’m fickle, but I just say I’m well rounded.

The only problem with my well roundedness (is that a word?) is that the sheer number of magazine subscriptions it could take to keep me satisfied can still get expensive. And, I also have a couple of different magazine subscription apps, so all of my reading material isn’t in one place. That’s probably the biggest reason why I’m considering Texture right now.
