I shared this on Instagram a couple days ago. So if you DO have an Instagram account, feel free to follow me over there so you don’t miss other things I might not be able to post on the blog. I’m under “The Melea Show” on IG. 😉
First of all, it’s always sad when stores close because so many people lose their jobs. But, if stores do go out of business, there is the potential for C-R-A-Z-Y prices on everything they mark down on clearance. But you want to make sure you don’t get taken for a fool.
Sports Authority, Sears, Office Depot, Gap, Aeropostale, Finish Line and Kmart have all recently announced that a bunch of their store locations across the country are closing down.
HELPFUL TIP?: The longer a product stays, the cheaper it will go. So there’s a fine line when deciding whether to buy it at the first clearance price or waiting to see if it goes lower before it’s sold out! So I recommend using a price scanner app (like RedLaser) to scan clearance items to see if it really is a great price or if it’s still cheaper elsewhere!
And for those of you who like videos, I have a clearance video I put together awhile ago sharing tips you’ll want to know when shopping a store clearance sale. It’s called “Secret Clearance ShoppingTips” and you can head here to watch it.
If you have any other ways you like to save money on Clearance Sales, share them below in the comment section. Thanks all!

Can I get a direct link for the red laser app that you use, please? I can’t seem to find it by doing a search.

Do we know specifically which ones are closing? Is there a list somewhere?
