Get ready! Starting this Saturday, April 16th and going through April 24th, The National Park Service is having National Park week! This means you can go to any National Park and get in for FREE! This is an awesome savings and would be a perfect excuse to go explore a new park.
You can head to their site here and explore the different options that you have. There are 127 different National Parks around the country that usually require a fee. So chances are, there will be one close to you that you could go explore.
To give you an example, Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park in Utah both require a $25 fee for a car to enter. So if you were to go to both of those parks during National Park Week, you would save $50 right there!
Here is a list of the free dates for the rest of the year:
- April 16th-24th – National Park Week
- August 25th-28th – National Park Service Birthday
- September 24 – National Public Lands Day
- November 11 – Veterans Day
