About a month ago, I told you all on Instagram that my hubby was taking the plunge and doing LASIK Eye Surgery at Davis Vision. He’s been jealous ever since I got mine done 18 months ago. 😉 However, his procedure was a lot different than mine.
My eyes qualified for the blade-free LASIK procedure. But because Brady had really bad astigmatism and was near-sighted, regular LASIK wasn’t ideal or the safest option. So instead, he signed up to do PRK (another version of LASIK surgery) to fix his eyes. Recovery was a little longer than mine. But he did say that he never had pain! His eyes were just very sensitive to light for a few days while he recovered.
AND… during his next -day appointment he was already seeing SO much better than he ever has. And now that it’s been a few weeks, he was even able to run the Spartan Race this past weekend (without contacts!) Since the race is filled with mud, dust, etc, it was really nice for him not to have to worry about contacts falling out, or getting things stuck inside them.

REMINDER: If you owe money on taxes and haven’t filed yet, you can actually set up an HSA account NOW or anytime before April 15th!! Depending on how much money you put towards an HSA instead, you can owe a lot less to taxes. Then, you can turn around and use that money in your HSA to pay for your LASIK Procedure instead of paying that money to the government for taxes. Woo-Hoo! (Make sure you talk to a tax professional if you have never done this before so you do it the correct way.)
