My total cost is $38.43 with the promo code. Is that still a good price? Not sure why it’s different

I’ve commented about this before with toilet paper and I would love a response just to see if I am thinking it wrong or if these deals aren’t as good as they appear. So I found that toilet papers are all made with different amount of sq ft. I notice that at Costco they give the unit price in sq ft. Which made sense to me. If the rolls are different size – then pricing it per roll isn’t really comparing apples to apples. Unless there is a definite length for “regular” roll, which I have no seen, then you may be comparing a “regular” roll that’s 209 sq ft vs one that’s 309 sq ft, certainly the 309 for $.16 a roll is a better deal. But if you switch it to per 100 sq ft calculations, then it’s even across the board. For example Costco’s Kirkland TP is priced at $1.00 per 100 sq ft. This Charmin deal is priced at $1.98 per 100 sq ft!!! Therefore to me this is not a deal to go after when it twice the cost. Please let me know if I am thinking about this wrong or if readers need to start considering per 100 sq ft comparison.

This is really helpful, thanks!

I just looked things up
1. Up & Up, Angel Soft and Scott: double roll = 264 sheets
2. Northern, Charmin, and Cottonelle: double roll = 165-166 per sheets
3. Kirkland: 425 sheets per roll
4. Member’s Mark: 220 sheets per roll
So according to 1 a regular roll is 165 sheets
according to 2 and 4 a regular roll is 82.5 sheets…funny, I don’t remember when I grew up that my toilet paper had 1/2 a sheet among the whole sheets
This I think shows that you can’t calculate per roll. You do that and Costco will loose every time, but it is the best deal out there that I have seen. It is 2.57 to 5.15 of a single roll (@84.5 or 166 sheets per roll)
To compare to this Charmins deals
Costco is $15.99 for 30 rolls. That’s $.53 per roll at 425 sheets to translate that to single roll at Charmin’s calculations of 82.5 sheets per single roll, that would make it $.10 a single roll. Soundly beating this sale by $.06 a roll!
