black friday tonight

UPDATE:  Originally these deals were supposed to start tonight.  But now I am getting conflicting information from Target.  I will be online tonight waiting.  If it does go live, I will post about it and share on Facebook and Instagram. If it doesn’t happen tonight it WILL FOR SURE happen on Wednesday night–my guess is around 2amish MST time. That is what has typically happened in the past.

For all of you who are new to how Black Friday really works, TONIGHT (11/24/15) online, is really Target’s Black Friday. Seriously.  So stay up late or set your alarm to hop online later tonight to get all of your shopping done.

***NOTE:  Although Target has set times that everything is supposed to be live on their websites for Black Friday, you will notice that a few deals will trickle out early and be available to purchase before those times. So although we have a good guesstimate of when their online deals will start from what’s happened in the past… they still can do whatever they want.  So please make sure you watch Freebies2Deals.com directly and the Freebies2Deals FB Page.  I will post on both of those when deals are live. I will also post some of the best deals for you guys directly on Freebies2Deals.com.

Frequently Asked Questions about Black Friday:

Will all of the Black Friday Ad items be available online too?  Or are they only available in-store? – Chelsea

  • In my experience, just about every item in the Black Friday ads will be available online. But the best part is that since Target will have the ONLINE deals start tonight, you can try to get items online tonight and if for some reason it sells out quickly or if they aren’t honoring that price online, you can still head in-store for their Black Friday sale. **Make sure you check Amazon as well.  A lot of the time they will change their prices to reflect that of other store’s Black Friday ads.

Do any online stores  (like Amazon) price match black Friday deals?  If so, how do you do it?- Josie

  • Amazon does not have an official price matching policy.  However, for last few years they have changed their prices online to reflect those hot Black Friday prices. Another option is to “report a lower price to Amazon”.  You can see how to do this in a previous post.  Almost always, Amazon has changed their price after getting one of these.  They don’t alert you when the price changes.  So you will just have to keep watching the product until the price changes.

Will the hot online deals be posted on the Freebies2Deals Facebook Page or here on Freebies2Deals.com?- Anna

  • All of the HOT Online deals will be posted on Freebies2Deals.com.  Depending on how crazy it gets, they might not all get posted on the Freebies2Deals Facebook page.   So the safe bet is to keep refreshing Freebies2Deals.com so you can see all of the new deals and posts that are going up.

Hopefully that answers the Majority of your questions everyone!  Remember, I’ve compiled a list of the BEST Black Friday Deals here.  That way, you can see which store has the best price on certain items.

  2. Since the 20% off of one toy is good until tomorrow will we be able to use that on any of the Black Friday deals that go live tonight??

  3. Trinady, if the coupon code is still live then you should be able to use it. Unless Target specifies that Black Friday prices can’t be combined with other deals or discounts. We won’t know for sure until the Black Friday deals go live.

      • What is the online code for the 20% discount? I only remember we can text to get the coupon. Thanks

        • You can check earlier posts as well but if I remember correctly it is “TOYS”

  4. Suzette, Here are some pointers from a post I did on car rental deals a couple of years ago. Hope it helps:

1- Sign up directly for emails from Car Rental Companies like Thrifty, Budget and Dollar. I get an email just about every week or so with the best deals, and special coupon codes!

2- Don’t be afraid to pay up-front! Sometimes you will see two prices for a car rental. One will be for when you pick the car up and pay when you arrive. And one will be lower if you pay ahead of time. You can save so much money if you are willing and able to do that!!

For example, on our most recent vacation Budget Rental Car had 2-4 Door Economy Cars for $191.97 for our 4 day trip. But, if I was willing to pay ahead of time, they would only charge me $120!! Plus, the crazy part is that they had SUV rentals for only $150- still cheaper than the Economy Car! So it definitely pays to pay ahead!

3- I know a lot of people use sites like Expedia or Travelocity to book cars and see the cheapest rates. But the only way you can get that cheaper pay ahead option is on the actual car rental’s website. So, I like to check them individually to make sure I am getting the absolute lowest price.

  5. When you say prices should be live at midnight can you clarify which time zone that is in please.
    Thank you!

    • I am MST. Typically they wait until midnight PST for deals to go live. But like I said in the post above they can really do whatever they want so there isn’t a way to know exactly.

  6. If a Black Friday deal at target is offering a target gift card- how would we get that if we are doing online shopping?

    Reply
    • They will ship it to you. 🙂 It will add it to your cart automatically.

  7. Can you tweet/instagram when you see deals go live? I am totally going to stay up and make sure I snag the deals but it would be awesome if we could stay looped in with you when they go LIVE!

  8. Just a heads up for everyone – last year I ordered four things online at Target for Black Friday – in three separate orders. I put them in my cart, put in my credit card and completed my order. It said it would tell me when it shipped. ALL FOUR of them ended up falling through. Target would email me later that day and say “sorry, this item is not in stock.” Even though it WAS in stock when I ordered. I talked to a Target rep about this and they said that unfortunately, no item is guaranteed. EVEN IF YOU’VE ALREADY PAID!

Just a heads up. I am done with Target after my frustrating time with them last year.

  9. What about deals that are specific to a day…specifically the $50 off/$100 holiday shop purchase on Saturday?

    • Kimmy, Day specific, in-store specific and any other specifications found in the Black Friday Ad will all be available as specified in the ad.

  10. The Wii U has already had the price dropped to the black friday price mid-day today;however they still have it marked as “pre-order” with the button grayed out, so I’m not sure what they are doing.

  11. I know this is not related to Target’s Black Friday but does anyone know when Walmart Black Friday will go on-line? Are they waiting til Thursday or going to do it earlier?

  12. I don’t know about Black Friday but I’m trying to shop their sleepwear sale online and NONE of the pajama sets I’m interested in are available for shipping! Why don’t they only show what can be shipped? Isn’t that the point of shopping online? If I wanted to shop in-store I would have gone out! What a total waste of time. I hope everyone else has better luck than me.

    • Same luck here. No pajamas in-stock online.

  13. Do you know when Wal-Mart’s deals are going live? Last year I believe they went live the night before Thanksgiving at like midnight. Is that happening again?

    Reply
    • Their Black Friday Ad says deals will be available online all day Thursday. In the past that has been at midnight on Thursday.

      Reply
    • It looks like they will be going live at 1am MSTish tomorrow night (Wednesday)–which is technically super duper early on Thanksgiving morning since it is 1am. Guess we will have to see if they do!

  14. We are looking for the apple watch deal for $349 plus the $100 target gift card. Do you know if we need a code for the gift card or is it automatic when we check out?

    Reply
    • Gift Card should be automatic when the Black Friday Deal is live. It will show in your cart when you go to checkout.

  15. I am so excited. My child has been asking for the Playskool Millennium Falcon ship for months. It retails for $40. Today with the cartwheel deal and the 20 percent off of toys, I got the ship and two additional character sets for $29. Originally $57! Thanks for all you and your team does to help us get these deals.

  16. So I’m confused. Has anyone gotten anything on-line? I figured it would go live late on the 25th. I’m wanting the BOB stroller and its not on a black Friday price on-line. Does that mean I missed it? I’ll have to battle at the store, or should I try again?
I’m so confused with black Friday on-line. Its all so vague.

    Reply
    • It can be super confusing. Target released a limited number of Black Friday deals last night. There is a separate post on the blog about those deals. The stroller you are wanting was not one of them. Unless the Black Friday ad specifies that a deal is available in-store only it should be available online so you don’t have to battle crowds. Target and Walmart will be releasing their online Black Friday deals tonight anywhere from midnight-2:00am. I will have posts on Freebies2Deals announcing when the deals are live and then I will post directly about the most popular deals so you don’t have to search for them. If you already know what you want you can add it to your cart and the price should adjust as soon as the deals go live. Good luck, hope this helps.
