If you didn’t do this last year, you will want to make sure you sign up ASAP for this awesome promotion. Just like last year, Alaska Airlines is giving out FREE $50 Credits to use on ANY flight.  All you have to do is sign up for their Mileage Program.  (It’s Free.)  And you can do this for each member of your family!

Just head to this page and you can get signed up.  When I did this last year, it wouldn’t let me sign up my kids with their online system. I had to call their customer service department.  So it might be the same for you.

But since one-way flights from SLC to LAX have been dropping down to $79 a bunch of times, you could use your $50 credit and get each round trip flight for $108!!  (Only $54 each way!) Can you say Disneyland?!  **This won’t work with Our Discounted Group Trip in December, but it will for September if you have already booked that trip! (It’s all sold out)

Here is the fine print of this offer:  Valid for new ticket purchases only at alaskaair.com. One person per Discount Code. The recipient of the Discount Code must be the traveler. Discount Code is valid for $50 off all published fares at alaskaair.com. Discount Code must be ticketed by October 31, 2015. Discount Code is valid for travel between August 1, 2015 and November 19, 2015. Discount Code may be used for travel departing from Salt Lake City to any Alaska Airlines city (Prudhoe Bay excluded).

It should take about 48 hours for you to receive the FREE $50 Credit via email.  So make sure you watch your junk/spam folders too.  And spread the words with your Utah Friends & Family Members!

  2. Can you sign up again if you did it last year?

    • No, if you have already done it, you can’t resign up for a new mileage account.

  3. Hi, I had a question. We already booked a flight with them for September can we get that credit and apply it to our existing reservation? And just get a refund for that credit amount?

    • No, I believe their fine print says it is only for flights that haven’t already been booked.
