Quick heads up for those of you who shop at Safeway, Albertsons and Rite Aid…..
I’ve been watching the numbers on three Grocery Deals Matchups here on Freebies2Deals: Safeway, Albertsons and Rite Aid. And unfortunately, they just don’t get used that often. I’m not sure if that is because readers in those states or areas don’t realize that I’ve been putting together grocery matchups for those stores. Or if it’s because you guys just don’t really shop at those stores and find better overall deals at your Kroger/Target/Walmart stores instead.
It takes a lot of time to put together weekly deals for each of the stores I cover here on Freebies2Deals. So if there really isn’t anyone taking advantage of those posts on a regular basis, then I definitely want to spend my time posting deals that work for all of you and work on getting exclusive deals and discounts to share.
So unfortunately, starting on Monday, I will no longer be doing matchups for Rite Aid, Albertsons or Safeway.
I know this might put a damper on your grocery shopping plans. And I’ve struggled with making this decision. But there are only so many hours in the day. And I can only get up so much with the time that I have. If there just aren’t enough people taking advantage of a certain type of deal post, I need to find something that is helpful to more people.
I hope that as Freebies2Deals grows to more states and areas that have those grocery stores, there will be a larger demand and it will be something that we can add back one day. Crossing my fingers!!
Love you all!! And please don’t hate me. 😉

Would you be willing to do a Harmons grocery section for us in Utah?
Melea Johnson
If we had enough interest, I would definitely consider it. Harmons has great items, but I’ve noticed there are only a handful of deals there. So it probably wouldn’t even be a full matchup.

I stopped shopping at Rite Aid when they took away up rewards.DO you think it’s still worth shopping there with their new program? I’ve just been price matching at walmart ever since the change.
Melea Johnson
I personally think you have to pick and choose what is most convenient for you and what store you feel has the best deals for the items you buy on a regular basis. Walmart’s price matching policy has changed. So that might be an issue you run into too.

I first followed your blog because of Safeway shopping savings. I guess I’ll have to follow someone else for that store and Rite Aide. We do not have Albertsons here but do have Lucky’s. Thank you for helping me save money in the past.
