This awesome promotion is still available if you missed out on it a couple months ago!

Have you heard about Sling TV yet? Sling TV delivers live TV – without the cable company – directly to your Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick. With this service you can get the best of live TV – sports, current shows, movies, and breaking news – instantly.

The best part is, there are no hidden fees! Just a clear-cut monthly rate of $20 per month! And for a limited time, sign up for Sling TV for three months and you will get $50 off your purchase of Amazon Fire TV or get a Fire TV Stick FREE!

Curious about what channels you’ll have access to? On their site they have listed ESPN, ESPN2, Disney Channel, ABC Family, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Cartoon Network & more!

Here is how to take advantage of the promotion I mentioned above:

  1. Sign up for your subscription on the Sling TV website and prepay three months of Sling TV service.
  2. After signing up, you will receive a promotion code that can be used for $50 off Amazon Fire TV or a free Fire TV Stick.
  3. Copy the promotional code, go to www.amazon.com/redeemslingtvoffer, and add one Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick to your shopping cart.
  4. Proceed to check out. Paste or enter the promotional code in the “Enter a gift card or promotion code” field, click the ‘Apply’ button and complete your order.
  5. When your device arrives, simply plug it in, connect to the internet, and start enjoying instantly.

I have a feeling this service is going to give the Cable Companies a run for their money… and it could save everyone a ton of money on their cable bill!

  1. There is also a free 7 day trial. I signed up before realizing that.

  2. What about a DVR? I don’t think I could live without one?

    • Agreed. Live wouldn’t be worth it at my house but if they have on demand option (like Hulu/Netflix) count me in!

    • So I just called Sling TV and asked about an on demand feature. They said that some channels have a “look back” feature that allows you to do that but not all channels do. (The channels I want don’t unfortunately.)

    • If it helps, some of the channel’s shows are available for 3 days to watch after they have been aired. Not all of them though. But, if it helps. We love it! So much better than the $80/mo we were paying for channels we never watched.

  3. Do you get regular channels (ABC, CBS, NBC etc) or is it just “cable channels”?

    Reply
    • No you don’t get the regular channels. I still wish that someone would give us an option to pick 5 channels we want to watch and then pay that way. There is at least 1 maybe 2 Spanish channels on Sling. I don’t speak Spanish so of course that is a waste for me.

  5. Do you get channels like Nickelodeon and Disney?

  6. You can’t watch on two separate tv’s or devices at the same time. Very limited channels and no Dvr? I’m out!

  7. This is exciting, but lacking… figure they’ll make imrovements as they go. I’ll wait for DVR and multiple TVs and then I’m in. 😉

  8. We got rid of cable last year and signed up for HULU plus, which we love, because it is like having a DVR…you can watch the shows when it is convenient for you. The shows don’t show up until the next day but I am okay with that. It took a long time for my husband to agree to get rid of cable because of sports, so we have been waiting and watching for sling to be released. I just signed up and am so excited that we are still only paying a small fraction of what the cable bill was.

  9. I signed up two months ago and love the ability to watch HGTV, leave in the middle of a show and come back two days later and be at the same spot and finish the “reveal.” It is limited in some respects but for $20 a month I think it is a great deal.

  10. Thank you so muh for the CNET link. Learned a lot from it.

We already have two roku boxes so I can stream sling TV on that. I don’t need to buy an amazon box.
