I’ve been hearing about 3D Mascara for awhile now and I never really understood what it was or why I would want it. So when reader Courtney said she wanted to send me some to try out. I thought, why not. It can’t hurt. And I also figured it might finally give all of you some honest thoughts on the product– if you have been wondering what the fuss is about too.
First thing, there is actually a process to putting on the 3D Mascara. So it does take a couple of minutes to apply. And if you don’t do it right or follow the directions, your Mascara will flake. After a few times testing out the application, I think I’ve finally got it down. But more importantly, the results are AMAZING! My eyelashes look like I have falsies or Lash Extensions in! (I’ve always loved the look of Lash Extensions. But I’m a stomach/face sleeper. So after a week, all of the eyelashes on one of my eyes is completely gone and I look like a cyclops. So I’ve never done it again–although I love having gorgeous lashes like that.)
This is a pic of my own eyes. Looks kind weird, right? On the right, I have no mascara on. On the left, the Younique 3D Fiber Mascara. And this picture only shows 1 application of it. You can layer the mascara to make them more dramatic. But since I got a pretty dramatic result with just one application, I didn’t feel like I needed to do any more. Oh- I didn’t put on Eyeliner or Eye Shadow either, so you could just see the lashes. And believe me, it looks even better with that on!
Although the results are amazing, I personally wouldn’t use it daily or while I was running errands. (Especially because I don’t really get ready every day.) But I would use them for Date Nights and Special Occasions! And now I am really glad I have it just for that.
