Actually, Netflix definitely works without the Gold membership and I believe Hulu, as well. As long as you have a Live membership (free), they work just fine. It’s a change they made a little while ago. Gave me a reason to not pay for the Gold membership anymore since I don’t game with friends online and their free games for Gold members haven’t interested as much as they did when they first kicked off that perk.
