  13. One year my Dad found a great deal on a four wheeler and gave it to the family. We had so much fun riding that thing around Christmas Morning. My parents still have it today and my kids ride it around and around now. It has seen a lot of miles but still works great.

  21. One of my favorite memories was when the little spinning fairies came out. I got one for Christmas and we would spin it for hours. It was pink and puple and had foam wings. I loved that.

  46. My favorite gift might sound silly but it was bubble gum. One year my mom didn’t have any money so she made me a tree from a berry tree outside and walked me to the corner store to get some candy. This very reason is why I make sure my kids stay humble and are grateful for the gifts they receive, now that times have changed and my husband and I can buy whatever they ask for.

  138. When I was 8 I got my first easy bake oven! I was excited!! It kept me believing in Santa for another year! I was so excited about that thing, I already loved helping my mom cook. This provided my friends and I hours and hours of baking fun!! And my baking love/obsession continues today;)

  143. The year my parents got divorced my mom prepared us by telling us there would be no christmas. I don’t know who or how but on christmas day we had more presents than we ever had before. I dont’ remember everything I got, I just remember the love I felt. I will never forget it, and that’s why I always pass it on!

  234. One year we got these crazy 3 wheeled bikes(but not bikes almost unicycle like with small training wheel size wheels on the back.) with no handlebars that were so cool. My siblings and I zipped around the neighborhood with them. I can’t even find a picture online of them they were awesome would totally buy them for my kids.

  254. My best gift was a new bicycle. I remember my brother and I had begun to question if Santa was real, so that year, we woke up on Christmas morning and there was nothing for us. We cried all day in disbelief, that Santa didn’t come. Later in the day, my dad told us to go outside and play, and we went outside and discovered Santa had brought us new bicycles! Boy oh boy, did we quickly believe that Santa was real!

  301. my most memorable gift was when I was around 5, my sister told me santa wasn’t real, but I really wanted to believe, and on Christmas morning when we went downstairs to open presents, there underneath the tree was a pair of parakeets. It was the most wonderful thing ever.

  339. I loved my Cabbage Patch Crimp and Curl! I still have the doll with the curling iron and the pick. I may even still have the crimper as well! It was such a fun toy and on the few instances I’ve pulled it out, it’s been fun as well! I should find it to show my daughters, they haven’t ever seen it!

  380. Growing up in the 1950’s with 6 brothers and sisters and a stay-at-home mom, money was tight. One Christmas each of us 5 girls got a new outfit for a doll we already had. It was so exciting to be able to change my doll’s dress on Christmas Day! Our Christmas picture that year features us girls holding our beautifully dressed dolls!

It’s sad to say, but I can’t remember getting that one toy that I forever cherished afterwards and still have, but one year I was really into the Boxcar Children book series and got a few of those with my presents and I was so excited. I think I read them that day- I loved reading and still do and hope to pass that enjoyment on to my own kids. Reading opens up whole new worlds of imagination and fun. 🙂
