The Wawona Packaging Company is voluntarily recalling certain lots of peaches, plums, nectarines, and pluots packaged between June 1 through July 12 due to a possible listeria monocytogenes contamination.

These lots were distributed to Costco, Trader Joe’s, Walmart & Sam’s Club locations throughout the country.

To find out if a lot of fruit that you have purchased could have been contaminated visit Wawonapacking.com.

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause Listeriosis. Pregnant women, infants, older adults and people with a weakened immune system are particularly at risk for a more serious infection.

  1. Do you know where to find the lot # on the box? I’m looking all over for it and can’t find it. I happened to buy Costco peaches this week that we haven’t eaten yet…

  5. We ate peaches from Walmart and my little guy had a bad tummy ache and threw up a few times…he was miserable! Now I wonder if they came from the peaches. No one else in the family got sick.

  6. Did they have to be packaged? I bought regular peaches, so it wouldn’t have a batch #. Are those included in the recall?

  7. Here’s a clip from an article with details:
“Retail cartons may have the brand names Wawona, Sweet 2 Eat or Harvest Sweet, it said. There have been no reported illnesses from the products. The products were packaged between June 1 and July 12. A full list of the products can be found online.”

  8. I got the msg from Smiths too and they said it’s all the Sweet 2 Eat labeled fruits that were recalled. Dug in our garbage and ours weren’t Sweet 2 Eat and I was relieved because we ate all our nectarines.

  10. The companies web site is crashing. You can’t view any of the recall numbers. I recently bought peaches at Tom Thumb in Texas and have had bad stomach problems since. I hope it’s not from these peaches. I have one left over, and I really wanted to eat it. Man, it smells so good. Should I eat it?
