Amazon has released a brand new program that should help all of us save money on our Grocery shopping! It’s called Amazon Pantry!
Here is how it works, “Adding your first Prime Pantry item to Cart starts a Prime Pantry box. As you shop, you see that each Pantry item tells you what percentage of a Pantry box it fills based on its size and weight. Pantry boxes are large and can hold up to 45 pounds or four cubic feet of household products. As you check items off your list, we continuously track and show you how full your box is.”
Shipping is $5.99 per box. You can fill it as much as you want– and obviously you will want to fill it up to get as much as you can shipped for $5.99.
There is also a page full of Prime Pantry Coupons that will get you up to 25% off your purchase! (I would actually save this page to your favorites so you can always find it in the future.)
You can use the Amazon Pantry search bar to search for items you need on your grocery list. Then check to see if there is a coupon to clip to save even more.
I would bet that a lot of us would pay $5.99 to have a 45 pound box of food shipped to us—instead of paying gas to get it at the store and lug around our kids. So this should be a great lifesaver– as long as you make sure you are only purchasing items that are a great price point!
For example, Planter’s Creamy Peanut Butter is $2.14 right now. Clip the 25% off coupon and it will drop down to $1.61!
Or grab the 5 Count Box of Kraft Mac and Cheese for $4.50— only $3.37 after 25% off coupon. That makes each box $.67!
Prices and deals will change all of the time. So before you load up the kids to go shopping, you will want to check this Amazon Pantry Page to see what deals Amazon has that could save you time and money. 🙂

So is this a better deal than the subscribe and save? I am still very confused :/

I don’t understand why there is a shipping charge when I pay for free shipping. Why would you not just buy the product with your prime free shipping?
Kristen
A lot of the products are Prime Only, and aren’t available for a non-membership buyer.
Christine Alva-Hill
It looks like you have to be a Prime member to shop the pantry and fill a box and then you also get free 2 day shipping. Is that correct or am I missing something?
Marcy
It says it is for prime members only and that shipping is free 2 day. How can we just get the deal you are talking about without joining prime?
Nicole Fryer
Are you able to get free shipping with an amazon prime account? Also can you get more than one box using the 25% off coupons?
Jennifer
I didn’t notice in your post that you have to be a Prime member for this, but it seems to indicate that on the Amazon website. And then you also have to pay the $5.99 shipping, when I thought the biggest perk of Prime was the free shipping. Doesn’t sound like such a good deal afterall!
