If you haven’t heard, Internet Explorer is having huge problems right now. And a bug on their browser can actually give hackers access to your computer!! CNN has full details on the Internet Explorer Problem.
Until they patch the problem, I would completely stop using Internet Explorer. You could use Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox and you will be fine.
