  1. thank you!! My 72 hour kits have sat here, unfinished, for almost a year. I needed these and still a few other things. I am curious – what do you guys have for food in your kits? I find that if I start putting cans, it makes the back packs really heavy.

  2. I use freezer bag meals. They are recipes where you just add boiling water to dry ingredients in a freezer. Then you can include a small camp stove to boil the water and something to measure it (I have a water bottle with measurements on the side) and food is ready in 10-20 minutes, depending on what you have. Here is a link for some ideas: https://www.bstroop61.com/docs/Freezer_Bag_Recipes.pdf

  3. I just bought a couple of packs to give in school valentines instead of candy. Thought these would make a fun and healthier alternative 🙂

  5. Thanks for posting about them, though. I just realized that I may have looked like and ingrate. 🙂

  6. I purchased these as Walmart before christmas for 9.99. I like them- the set we got even came with batteries. I put them in my kids’ stockings so they would stop playing with our nice camping flashlights.
