We just built a new house and put the Nest in it. Our builder had never seen it, but thought it was pretty cool. I feel like we have saved a ton because we are paying the same amount for heat and air conditioning in our house as we were in our small apartment. It is hard to know what is normal since we started with this in our house, but it is nice to have a record of the times we are saving energy and when we are away we can monitor and turn it off when we are gone if we forget. It learns your schedule and adjusts the temperature as it detects when you walk past. We have loved the Nest so far after being in our house for 3 months now.
