Last day!  Please don’t miss this.  It doesn’t happen very often and it is a great and EASY way to get some extra cash! 😉

Offers like these are one of the best ways to get free cash!  Our family has done offers like these a bunch of times, just to get that cash.  It’s super easy too!

CapitalOne360 (Formerly ING) is offering a FREE $75 when you open a NO-FEE 360 Savings Account and you can get a FREE $125 when you open a NO-FEE 360 Checking Account!

You have to have the accounts set up by 12/2,  so here’s how:

  • Then, head over and create a no-fee 360 Savings Account.  You will need to deposit atleast $500 into it. Your bonus $75 cash will be deposited and you will earn interest on it from day 1.  But, you have to keep that $75 bonus in your savings account for 30 days before you can take it out.

This could really help you out with cash after Christmas.  30- 45 days from now would be anywhere from Dec 29th-Jan 14th.  So, you would have that extra $200 cash pretty fast!

**These deals are only for first-time customers.  That is the only catch.  But, if you have had a checking account, but not the savings account, you can open one and get the cash associated with.  And vice-versa.

  2. I’m a little confused…when it says use your debit card 5 times. Do you tie your current debit card to the account? Do they send you a debit card, and you need to deposit $ so that you can make 5 transactions?

    Reply
    • No since you are opening a checking account, they will send you a debit card. So you just have to use your debit card 5 times that is attached to that checking account.

  3. Thanks! These usually require payroll checks to be deposited into the account!

    • Hey Ashley, Im pretty sure that isn’t a requirement this time. I didn’t see that in the fine print.

  8. FYI: I called Capital One 360 and here is what they said. After your waiting period (50 day for checking) and (30 days for savings) you could pull out the money and cancel the account or even leave it open. that there are no minimum balances and no fees. New Customers: 1-800-464-3473
So in 50 days from now you’ll be $200 richer!

  18. So you guys positive there are no monthly fees or anything? I see these deals from chase bank all the time, but in the fine print there is a bunch of fees and such. Just a little paranoid.

  19. I was just going to open a new checking and savings so I had a separate account to use from where we pay all our bills. I’m excited for a free $200!

  25. wow, this is a great promotion! I already use this as my main checking account and really love it! It was actually IngDirect before Capital One bought them out recently. The main reason I use them is that they have an overdraft credit thing where if you go over in your account they don’t charge overdraft fees, they just charge you an interest rate which is just a few cents a day. I think you have to apply for this b/c they check your credit. But it was super easy! Also, you can earn interest for your money in the account. We set up accounts for all of our kids, and they’ve all been earning interest. This promo would be a great time to do this with your kids- to add a little extra in their account. The only negative thing is that they don’t do checks. So if you write checks a lot you’ll need to keep a regular checking account for that.

  26. Thank you for posting this. I signed up for the checking today. 50 days from today will be January 21st. That is 2 days before my daughters birthday so it looks like she will be getting the toy that we can’t afford for Christmas for her birthday instead!
Also, when I went to open the savings account I was told that since my account was just opened there is a hold on the account for 2 business days so they can’t open the savings account in time for the $75 bonus cash. However, the representative told me that they would make an exception on my account and allow the bonus to be applied to our savings account as soon as I confirm the mini payments they sent to my credit union to validate the checking account. As long as I confirmed those amounts and signed up for the saving account before Dec. 15th, they would apply this promotion to the savings account as well.

    • In other words, if you are going to open both a savings and checking account using this promotion, open the savings account first so you don’t have to go through the hassle I dealt with. Really though, it wasn’t a hassle at all. The customer service agent was super friendly and there was absolutely no wait time when I called into their service center.

  27. Just a tip for anyone doing this today. You MUST sign up for your Savings account FIRST. I found that out now that I’ve called Capital One and they’re figuring out if I can get a Savings account today before verifying my Checking account. Great promotion nonetheless. Thanks!

  28. A follow-up for anyone that didn’t open the Savings account first, the representative that I was on the phone with was able to get an extension approved for me so I can take care of signing up for a Savings account before December 15 and have to deposit the $500 by that day. So, if anyone else wants to take advantage of this and opened the Checking account first, make sure to call in TODAY. 🙂

    • I just funded the new 360 savings and checking acct with another bank and I got the 75 bonus for the savings and looks like I will get my 125 bonus in checking as long as I make the debit purchases or checkmate deposits.

  34. Tried to open a checking account, but got all my info in and then was told to try again later. However, customer service was very helpful. After going through it one more time, they asked me to retry tomorrow or Wednesday. They would note that I tried during their sale and will still receive the bonus. So I’m hopeful!

  36. I just clicked on your link and it’s only showing a $50 bonus for making 3 charges? Is the $125 and 5 charges promotion already over?

    Reply
  37. I finished both by doing the savings first, although the checking said the bonus was only $50….I’m wondering if they went by eastern time. I’m bummed, but it’s still free money. Thank you for sharing!

  38. Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but
I’m having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs
and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic
    but I had to ask!
