Just about every Restaurant will have some type of deal when you purchase Gift Cards during the Holidays. Some stores will offer a bonus gift card with purchase. Some will offer a percentage off. It just depends. But, I would highly recommend not purchasing gift cards from restaurants who aren’t doing some type of promotion. There are just too many that are. So go with those guys. That way, you can either save money. Or, you can get a free gift card on top of what you purchased to keep for yourself!
To find out if your restaurant is offering a Gift Card Promotion, just head to their website! They will have the promotion posted their either on the homepage or on the Gift Card page.

Just make sure there are no limitations on the extra gift card you get…..last year I got the olive garden one and the buffalo wild wings and I could only go certain dates with that extra gift card 🙂

I bought $25 in gift cards on December 5th, they gave me a free meal. Not sure why your location told you differently. I didn’t even know about it until I was at the register to check out and there was a sign. I bought it at the same time as my food.
