I know that the Walmart site has been down and glitchy this morning. And I’ve heard some of you say that people are spreading rumors that the site was hacked. But, this is my take on it…..
If the Walmart site was hacked, their entire site would still be down until they got rid of the hack. Im sure they would contain the problem, instead of having millions of people placing orders that could potentially be fraudulent and cc info unsecure. So, Im guessing they are clearing out inventory before the big sales OR they are having system glitches and there are just too many people online- which is why it is getting bogged down and the system can’t handle it. If you remember, the Walmart site breaks down around Black Friday time too! They just can’t handle the traffic sometimes!
We won’t know if they are going to keep the orders or if they will cancel them. BUT, in the past with similar issues, MANY Freebies2Deals readers have had their orders honored. So, it’s better to take a chance right???
Let us know if you are able to pick your order up and it doesnt get cancelled!

I was able to purchase a Jeep Powerwheel (regularly $299) for $29 this morning. If it was hacked, my CC info could be compromised. If it was a typo, then I just got a really good deal. The site seemed to go down immediately after I made the purchase and the item was then listed as out of stock.

Thanks for an update. That’s kind of what I figured. I got bikes in my cart, but before I could enter my info, they were out of stock. I have problems on the Walmart site a lot of times throughout the year, not just during the holidays. Sometimes I can’t go more than a few clicks on their site before it locks up. I keep hoping they will do some upgrading to their site to make it easier to use.

I was so excited about the amazing walmart deals I saw this morning. But I saw a comment on my facebook page that this was a glitch, or that Walmart could have possibly been hacked. I spent ten minutes just finding walmart’s phone number – it’s not on their website, but on a google search it is:
1 800 walmart (925-6278)
They have an answering message that says their is a glitch and prices are being fixed. I was on hold another 10 minutes so I could talk to a rep. HI talked to Todd, he said if you ordered it, it WILL get cancelled. So I am not posting any of those deals anymore.

Thanks you for posting this and being an honest person. That says a lot about you as a person….. that you took the time to figure out the truth behind this and then took it upon yourself to stop posting the sales. Thank you. I am stocked by everyone’s dishonesty today. It is clear to see that they are having major problem with their website and I am disgusted that people have allowed a “good deal” to compromise there integrity. The saddest part is that if these orders do go through we will all end up paying for it in the long run. Walmart didn’t pay $29.95 for the $300 power wheel. So now to make up for all the orders that have gone through Walmart is going to be forced to raise their prices on EVERYTHING else to make up for the lost money. Money doesn’t just come out of thin are people……… there are consequences for every action.

Sometimes these glitches happen and they DO honor prices. I’ve had it happen. My guess is they will cancel most orders though. bummer.

Last time there was a mistake walmart sent me the item, refunded the price, and sent me $10 gift card! It was really nice of them not saying they will do it again but they made it up to me last time

I just put my order through about 20 minutes ago and it worked fine but my credit card company, American Express, called me to make sure I was the one that purchased. Not sure what is going on but had me a little worried. Hope everything is fine and my order goes through.

they had that at 12.46 a few weeks ago for ps3 only and store pick up only .i was able to get one and my kids are going to freak out. but last year i tried to order the cardboard playhouses and it didn’t go through. i think it’s just a gamble sometimes. but where the whole site has wrong prices and where things that are normally lower prices are over 300.00 i’m thinking it’s a major glitch and the prices won’t be honored.

Not to sound rude but I hope they dont all go through. I have seen so many power wheels priced at 29.97 that are normally 300+ its obviously a mistake and I hope i am not paying for it next time i go there. there are some smaller deals i could see them possibly honoring… but those big ones.. i would expect them to cancel.
